Platinum - Wine & Tapas

Me and my partner went here for our six months and it was wonderful! Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Service can’t be beat and the Sangria was amazing. Considering coming back to the area just for this restaurant! We got 3 dishes: a meat platter and olive (pictured below), garlic shrimp, and squid strips. All of the food was wonderful and the portions were so generous. We also got sangria which I would recommend! Will be coming back soon!

So many 5 star reviews. They are all right! The friendliness is only outdone by the amazing huge portions of truly delicious well prepared, cooked and served tasty Portuguese food. You might pass other better looking places, keep passing and when you get to Platinum, don’t question anything, walk in, be ready for familiarity and great service, don’t over order, take your time and at the end you’ll have made lots of new friends, a promise to come back and feel compelled like hundreds of others to give them the well deserved 5 stars. If you have a birthday they make it special too even without asking. Loved it all. Thank you everyone from all of us. Such a shame you’re not open Thursday before we leave.

So far, the best place I have found in Portugal, Albufeira, that ticks all the boxes.

We visited here on our last night and are gutted we didn’t find it sooner! The staff were so lovely, the chef even came out to greet us! She even put a candle on our table to make it more ‘romantic’ which was a nice touch! Her son and a lady served us and they were both brilliant and attentive. Even recommending us the best dishes on arrival.

The food portions were huge, the squid strips were cooked perfectly and we would 100% get them again. We also had the bread olives and sardine paste which weirdly went together extremely well! The garlic shrimp was also cooked great.

After our meal, as a gift they offered us liqueurs which were very tasty.

Would definitely visit again and recommend it to others. Fab tapas and a 7 minute walk from the strip but a very quiet and relaxing area considering.

Came here for dinner with my family and wow it was amazing. Service was amazing, the chef even came to introduce herself. Clams are a MUST. Highly recommend!

What an amazing experience & fantastic night . Discovered this tapas last year when we came , was excited to be able to return. We will be returning again before we lravr . This has got to be best food we have had from any tapas . We was in a big group so We ordered lots of different dishes . Each dish was amazing . Rose sangria was so nice . Very lovely & welcoming staff . Patricia always come out & chats to her customers. Highly recommended & defo need to visit if in albuferia . Would advise to book before visiting as always busy .

Dining at Platinum was an amazing experience, the staff was very kind and friendly, we had a lovely time there. The food was delicious and portions were big. What’s even more, sangrias were made from a family recipe and were also really good (and strong ;))
However, definitely the best thing out of all were the people who were both really nice and welcoming!

Another absolutely fabulous night at Platinum!! The food is amazing and Patricia and her son are such wonderful hosts, so funny, so welcoming, so generous and thoughtful. We went for a birthday and there was a huge happy birthday balloon sign with numbers and balloons! And in addition Patricia's daughter baked the most wonderful brownie cake which we shared with other customers, it was huge and delicious!!You must visit!!

This restaurant was amazing. Excellent and extremely tasty food. The owner who was also the chef was welcoming as well as her son who was the waiter. He was not only lovely and pleasant but very informative about the menu. He checked if we had any allergies and explained the size of portions. Both my daughter and myself were very impressed with the quality and flavour of the food. Will definitely be back and can highly recommend.

My husband and I ate here for dinner during our honeymoon at the Algarve and we couldn’t be happier. Even though we were a half hour late for our reservation and the restaurant was completely full, the owner Patricia was very welcoming and had saved us a table. The entire staff was cheerful and appeared to very much enjoy working at Platinum. Patricia gave a list of recommended tapas to order and we ended up ordering 3 of them: cod fish cakes, tomato with mozzarella and pesto, clams, and brie with crispy onions. Everything was amazingly good. With each dish, we were pleasantly surprised by how well the ingredients worked with one another. Their house wines and sangria are delicious and a great value. I wish we had more time at the Algarve to come back here several times and try the rest of the menu. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Not enough stars to review this place. Food just blow your mind, always follow your waiter's advice as portions are big. Very friendly atmosphere and chef is personally checking with you. It is ultimate food experience. Sorry I didn't take more pictures 🤣 food was so good that I simply forgot 😂
Very good value for money 💰

I rarely leave written reviews, but I don’t think I’ve ever been to a place where the staff was so nice. The mother, which is also the chef, went out of her way to cook an entire vegan meal for us which is not even included in the menu. The food portions are really large and everything we had was lovely. You can see that the chef puts a lot of love into her dishes. It is just something else. The son and husband were also very friendly and entertained us with stories. At some point all the customers were talking among eachother like we were some kind of big family out to eat. It was just surreal. So if you are ever in Albufeira do yourself a favour and have a meal here. I guarantee you will go back at least once and fall in love with the place and the people.

Platinum by name, platinum by nature. From the tapas to the drinks, to the beautiful family who are serving you, we love every bit of platinum! The portion sizes are HUGE and very very generously priced. Most importantly however, Patricia and her family are there to greet you and serve like queens. Platinum Wine & Tapas is an amazing little find which should definitely be visited (definitely book if it's a weekend as demand is high) The welcome is friendly and very family orientated, you arrive as strangers and leave as friends...the Sangria was the best we tasted in Albufeira during our stay and the food was so good, it converted us from hating foods to absolutely loving them! This is not a tourist restaurant, but one the locals frequent, so expect traditional Portuguese foods. Highly recommend the Tempura Prawns, Grilled Cheese, The Cheese Boards and the Squid strips 😍

Fabulous place, food was great, staff brilliant. The board we had was amazing and so much food. The kids enjoyed too. Make sure you book ahead this place gets booked up and cash only. Would definitely reccomend.

Great Food and great atmosphere. Family run restaurant and food cooked to order. Large portions and the calamari, Chorizo are phenomenal.
