Perfect spot for dinner with excellent service (English speaking) and great food. Most tourist places are too noisy for decent conversations. Pepper steak was about a 10-oz portion and so tender. The best steak ever. Ordered it medium rare. Could barely finish it. The chicken filet with mushroom sauce was delectable, also too much and took half as take-away. The sea bass is fresh and tasty, and guest was so stuffed eating it all. The fish filet special is breaded, not grilled. Be sure to ask server which you prefer. My favorite is the sardine pate and amazing olives. Their bread uses a rye starter for incredible texture. 5 thumbs up!

We had Steak Portuguese style and Chicken mushroom. As a starter bread and olives and a big jug of Sangria. The food was absolutely excellent but too much for me. I tried to finish my steak but lost in the end. I loved the combination with the pickled vegetables. The service was nice, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was okay, like in Berlin kebab bar, small, a bit loud but still friendly with all the customers. I highly recommend it, but book a table before!

A quiet family restaurant that served 1 of the best steaks I've ever had.
12oz fillet with sauce & sides for €24.
The desserts looked incredible but we had no room.
We'll make sure to plan better next time.

By far the best steak I’ve ever had. Family run business, daughter is the waiter and mother works in the kitchen. Got the fillet steak and was huge and great value for money. Couldn’t recommend here anymore

This is a proper Portuguese restaurant with the best food and a brilliant host. On the 2 occasions we went they had no availability but were really accommodating by allowing us to have a drink across the road then coming to get us when our table was ready. Then the food, its wholesome, home cooked and traditional. The Portuguese steak and the liver and onions were both superb, cannot recommend this place highly enough, a gem that not all know about.

Waited a while to be served but well worth the wait food was amazing, tasted better than expected, highly recommended for a good meal in Old Town albufeira

Excellent food, freshly made, tasty and delicious, lovely atmosphere, Monica has made it her own, she is very efficient, friendly and an amazing hostess 100% recommend.

We have wanted to dine here for awhile so thankful they had a table for us this evening. Monica & her mother welcomed us in the restaurant as the first table. Moments after the restaurant was packed. We had a beautiful bottle of Borba reserve. A large, fulfilling salad, delicious large bowl of homemade vegetable soup accompanied with the couvet of sardine and tuna pate and scrumptious bread.
We are huge fans of Liver, so we both had liver & onions with potatoes. Oh my how delicious and cooked to perfection the liver & potatoes. The portion was Huge! We didn’t have room for dessert but beautiful Monica showed us the homemade cheesecake- we will be back.

Local Portuguese family run restaurant in Old Town. This was recommended by Barry who we met on hols, it did not disappoint. Traditional Portuguese Steak dish was awesome. Staff friendly and a great ambience. Highly recommend a visit.

Good value food for set special daily offers. Wine nice. Fabulous staff. Food cooked well. Can't comet on main menu. Worth visiting.

We found out about this restaurant from a youtuber, who said they did amazing steaks and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is a family affair, with Mum doing the cooking, daughter waitressing and Dad, well he just sat at the bar! We had a warm welcome from the daughter who showed us the recommendation of the day which was a T bone steak, which looked great, so I ordered that and my husband ordered lamb chops. The steak was absolutely delicious, nicely cooked and massive for the 24 euros, the lamb chops also lovely, simply served with a salad and fries. We ordered 2 glasses of the house red which was really nice and it was a large glass, again great value. The waitress was very attentive and we had a bit of a chat with her as the restaurant was quiet, hence knowing who was who. We finished the meal with a complimentary glass of port and cognac, which was a lovely surprise. The restaurant is simply decorated and out of the hussle and bussle of the bars but definately worth a visit and I would recommend the T Bone.

I went at the end of November twice in a week. It was quieter than the summer obviously. However the food and service were excellent. I had the special and it was proper Portuguese food. Really tasty and loads of it too, topped off with a large glass of house wine.

Super place to eat and great food. Also staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent fish menu, beautifully cooked and seasoned with garlic and olive oil. Don't think you will find better seafood in town at this price point. Fish fillet was obscenely large. Definitely coming back. Great cold beer on tap too

What a fantastic little family run restaurant this is. I'm gutted I didn't find this earlier. The food is the best I've eaten in albufeira without doubt. Dont waste your time with the central restaurants. Go here and you won't be disappointed.

This is by far the best restaurant I have visited in Albufeira.
The steak I had here was the best one I ever ate in my life. It was the Portugese style one with pickled vegetables, and it was perfect. The meat, the sauce, I don't think I can find the right words - you just have to try it.
We also had a dessert which was choclate cheese tart, and again, it was in a class of its own.
Everything is home made, including sangria, which is prepared fresh.
The daughter of the owners does phenomenal job serving customers.
If you looking for great food and service, this is definitely the place.
100% recommend and definitely will be back!
