Cró Hotel Rural

We loved our stay at this modern hotel in a historic area that has been occupied since before Roman times. Located near Sabugal, I loved the contrast of the modern design with the desert like mountain landscape. Famous for old ruins, biking trails and historic attractions; this is an area of Portugal that is well worth the visit. The hotel offers sleek rooms with all the modern amenities, beautiful bathrooms with tubs that have views of the surrounding landscape and extremely comfortable beds. My one recommendation would be to add wifi streaming capabilities to the TVs and also to improve wifi capabilities as it kept cutting in and out which would’ve been frustrating if I had work to do. As far as the thermal hot springs, there is a treatment center next door that is not owned by the hotel. However there is a connected hallway which allows easy access to the treatment center. Those staying at the hotel receive a 20% discount on services. Hotel guests are given a 1 hour allowance at the lukewarm chlorinated pool at the treatment center that has some nice jets but the real attractions are the treatments which must be paid for. The treatment menu can be found on the website which range from self serve services like hydra baths to massages. Expectant mamas be warned, the treatment center doesn’t permit for pregnant women to receive ANY treatments which was a huge bummer as massages are completely safe and indicated for pregnant women. Also to do any respiratory treatments you have to have a doctors note. There is one little spigot where you can utilize the thermal water in the ruins out front of the hotel and treatment center. We brought some water bottles and filled them to use at a later time and you could easily bathe yourself there with a bucket or 5 gallon bottle. All in all the hotel was beautiful and the thermal spa treatments seemed like they would be wonderful but I can’t attest to that personally.

Loved this place... food was great, service was brilliant, even in these COVID times! The hotel is remote... which we love, as we love hiking... but be warned!! Spa pool was fantastic, and I would recommend a massage (hotel guests also get a discount!). Rooms are quirky, building is very modern, set alongside the old ruins of the original thermal spa hospital etc... but lovely nonetheless! Stunning setting alongside a river with lots of walks. Highly recommend.

The restaurant had a great ambiance and background music. The food was really great, with amazing regional food, and we were really well served by the waiters. Will for sure go again!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean and the staff were nice and polite.

Incredible hotel in a beautiful place! Indoor pool is amazing and so is the restaurant. Would recommend 100%! It's 1:30h away from serra da estrela, great spot to stay when visiting!

In the middle on nowhere great hot water pool with massaging water. Excellent for relaxing and for your back. It has a restaurant.

Beautiful and stark building, amazing visual experience coupled to very comfortable rooms. Service was outstanding!

Instalações bonitas, modernas e confortáveis. Equipe muito simpática e eficiente.
Uma nota negativa apenas - falta uma sala de estar. A unica disponivel é um lobby do bar, muito pequeno e local de passagem entre o hotel e as instalações das termas.

Tive oportunidade de fazer duas massagens com a tecnica Andreia que tem umas mãos maravilhosas e uma beleza e delicadeza nos movimentos da massagem, como se a dançar estivesse.
Obrigada pela experiência relaxante.

Só usufrui da piscina lúdica,fui com amigos, três autocaravanas. No exterior tem bom estacionamento e área para manutenção de autocaravanas. Local muito tranquilo, rodeado de natureza. As ruínas das antigas termas são interessantes. A piscina lúdica é muito boa. As pessoas muito simpáticas, amigas e acolhedoras. Recomendo vivamente uma visita.

Ao contrário de muitos reviews é uma local muito bom para uma pausa em família e a água é quente cerca de 30 a 32° e o espaço é grande e com muitos serviços! Recomendo 5 estrelas! Por muito pouco ia sendo influenciado por reviews maus e. Ok indicação de água fria…. Mas não é, a água e o espaço é muito confortável

Boa piscina mas só temos direito a 1h/noite.
De qq maneira pagamos depois +1h e sauna.
Hotel bom, quartos oke piscina boa.
Restaurante tb correu bem mas podia estar um pouco mais quente ao jantar.

Inserido na Natureza. Instalações recentes e funcionais. Bem inserido no mundo rural. Tem SPA e uma piscina prática e lindíssima. Tem um excelente atendimento. No exterior, tem percursos pedonais vários.
