Really great concept to try regional food. Several local dishes are served in large platters to share at your table and you can ask for seconds of those dishes which you prefer.
Staff are very friendly. The space is small but comfortable although not accessible for those in wheelchair or with mobility restrictions as the seating area is up steep stairs.

Restaurant with incredible price/quality ratio. None of the dishes are the best I've ever had, but they are consistently good throughout the entire meal. The starters are on point, as are the desserts. The coffee and digestive offering is the icing on the cake. I highly recommend it and you should think that afterwards you should take a long nap because the food keeps on coming!

If you never been in a Portuguese grandma's home this place will give you the right feeling and tastes.
Don't be afraid to ask for the"taste all" menu. You will be surprised with different dishes and will have more than enough of each. Just be careful not to get full with the first serving 😂

Price will definitely surprise you at the end.
200% will be back someday.

Delicious food, best quality of products, fair price, simple and swift payment and service. Not a single thing to note as worse.

We had a really nice experience, the waiter Tiago decided we had to have the degustation menu and he did very well, as the all of the dishes were delicious (specially the boar with beans and the cabidela of rabbit)! Thanks for this very nice dinner, we will be back!

Excellent service. We were very late. 1h late... We were welcome like very welcomed... Launch or dinner here is a ritual not a daily chore. Great food. Very good price and awesome good service. What you pay is much less than what you pay. Totally recommended!

Perfect food and very nice stuff. They offer 4 different dishes and then you may ask for more of what you liked. The room on the 1st floor is really cozy. It was warm and calm inside while it was raining outside.

Go with time and apetite! Call first to reserve or you can wait for a long time. Food is very good, I could live on the entrance alone (blood sausage, chouriço and farinheira) and home made bread. Then you can have a preset menu of wild boar, rabbit with blood rice, "calf" stued, lamb in the oven and piglet. But wait... There's more! Next you will be invited for a set of 3 deserts. It's a never ending meal very well done. Enjoy!

If you want to try real, regional and traditional Portuguese food this is the place to go. Unpretencious food and ambience, humble and kind people. Plenty of starters (including the local serra da estrela soft cheese), 4 main dishes (and they were big portions), 3 deserts and licours. 16€ per person. What else could you ask for!

This place hasn't changed quality and service in the last 20 years, a wonderful environment and dishes that represent real Portuguese cuisine.
I also recommend a visit to the product shop we're you can an excellent mountain cheese and morcela (blood sausage) made in house and served as a starter in the restaurant.
I will be coming back year after year.

Cozy restaurant covered by stone walls that serves the local crowd. Here you will find traditional dishes made by ingredients sourced by local farms. Amazing staff and service! Everything we had was delicious. Highlights were the leitão (pork), cordeiro (lamb), and a sampler of desserts!
