This place is massive and is able to seat over 200 patrons. With ample free parking on the property.

The staff is awesome the food is is top notch is very busy but don’t worry they will treat you right have exactly like me it was 35 euros for 4 people it is a whole chicken on the charcoal have the spice sauce piri piri you will thank me latter good place to go with family and large groups if not go to the takeaway it is good fast and affordable and the staff are relentless to serve you and your family

I live in Canada, I have some portugues coworkers and they would always talk about this restaurant, so when i visited Portugal i knew i needed to visit. Everything they would stay about this place.l was completely right. I ordered half a chicken with fries and ended up having 1 1/2 chickens. It was incredible, its not fancy. But its convenient. And the price was really good too.

If you’re close by Póvoa de Varzim, this place is definitely a must. The best rotisserie chicken you’ll ever taste. The service is pretty quick and the place always has a line up. There are other chicken restaurants very close by but this place seems to always be favourited by the locals. When I say the locals I don’t only mean people from Póvoa, but from everywhere in Portugal, specially the Northern Portugal. The line ups go quickly and there’s seating for nearly 1000 people. The parking lot is quite large and with some patience you’ll find a parking spot.
You’re greeted by someone just outside of the restaurant and they’re checking to make sure you’re fully vaccinated against Covid 19. As I write this review masks are still a requirement.
It may be a little difficult to see in my photos but all the holes you see in the stainless steel are for the spits that turn to make your chicken.
You could choose other items from the menu, however, the specialty, and people come from far and wide to have their chicken. The sauce is supposed to be spicy, I didn’t find it spicy but I have a very high tolerance for spicy food. The company that I was with all agreed that the sauce was spicy. So, ya I travel with a bunch of wussies. The chicken was served with French fries, but you could order salad as well.
I noticed the bathrooms were down a set of stairs and I didn’t see a ramp so if you have mobility issues you might want to be aware of this.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone planning on visiting Northern Portugal.

The line to get into the restaurant was more than a hundred people on a Sunday. We waited to go during a weekday to enjoy excellent Chicken Portuguese style. Now we know why there was such a long line. Absolutely delicious!

Cheap and cheerful! Efficient waiters, fresh Portuguese chicken and salad and excellent house white wine. Family friendly. They even have a guy to help drivers exit onto the main road :)

Oh my god amazing chicken!

I will eat here everyday!!! Leitoes is just my ultimate favorite and when I visit Portugal I eat it until I feel sick. this place really knows how to make it and its very clean!
