Recommend by a local friend here who promised me this is an authentic place for Portuguese food which I believe it’s true:) Tried the grilled codfish with fresh fried chips, a grilled prawn. Actually the dessert flan was a huge surprise! I’ll highly recommend this place with a very reasonable price:)

Absolute hidden gem!! It's where the locals eat and I can see why, the food was delicious, service was great also. We had read they don't speak English but that's not true and also should never be a deal breaker when you're in someone elses country. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer and had fluent English. It was such good value for money for what we had, amazing seafood

Seafood quality was top notch 👌 I came there for the second time! Grilled squid and octopus were delicious. Well grilled.
Grilled codfish was also well done, I just wasn't aware that it was salted cod, so it was a big surprise when I took the first bite. But it was a good combo with potatoes, onions, garlic and some salad.

I give 5 stars for the food quality.
Service is infamous there. We saw how one waiter threw a tantrum because guests questioned the size per glass or half a litre. The guests asked in a casual way, but the waiter just got really upset. It was a simple situation, which didn't need to have so much drama.

Very nice waiter sat us almost immediately, food was very good. It was very brightly Lit.

Make sure to bring cash! It's a fantastic little place. You might have to wait a little while to get in but it's 100% worth it. Brilliant food and atmosphere. We sat at the bar and had a fantastic time watching the staff prepare the dishes. Food was very good as well, we had the small prawns in garlic oil, chorizo and the cod with smashed potatoes and it was all excellent. Not to mention for what we paid for it at the end. Would definitely come again!

Top restaurant we had in Lisbon. Local and traditional food. Affordable. Lisbon is a bash country. Just be aware.

So good. I didn’t expect much because based on the photo food looked very bland. But everything turned out to be so flavorful. Also I don’t understand what’s the fuss about them being cash only. I’m fully supportive of the owners to keep the price low and avoid credit card fees to Visa or Mastercard

Good quality food that is served fast, and no pressure to clear your table 😄 No thrills service but this is something expected from this type of establishment, it’s all about food. We tried suckling pig and it was so delicious. If you are coming after 7:30 pm expect to wait outside a min of 1.5-2 hours. As an option, you can order food to go and dine at home 😃

Amazing local spot with lots of fresh seafood at great prices. The shrimp is so garlicky and yummy that I’m definitely coming here again for a second helping. The octopus was decent but the shrimp was definitely the highlight.

The food was incredibly delicious, with a variety of fresh seafood that satisfied my taste buds. The service was also top-notch; the staff was friendly and attentive and made sure I had a great experience. The atmosphere was inviting. I highly recommend this seafood bar to any tourist.

A lot of dishes in menu. I ordered chorizo. It's starter but size is like main course. It's served with crispy chips. Great combination! I also like their vinho verde. Prices acceptable, it's a little bit too noisy in restaurant. Many locals come here.

Happy to visit again since last trip to Lisbon in August 2019. Food is classic and delicious. Staff is super friendly. Try the squid in ink, octopus, or grilled sardines.

It is one of the most authentic places I know in Lisbon, high quality Portuguese cuisine and a good atmosphere.

I recommend trying the garlic prawns, cod a brass and you can not leave without asking for the "vino de pressao" or house wine and its fantastic lime pie.

Awesome experience, top 2 fish restaurants so far in Lisboa. Great qualiti/price ratio. Delicious desserts. Not fancy but definitely good food over there. Places that I like most. U gotta pay a visit and book in advance

Local and family run Portuguese restaurant. A vibrant atmosphere filled with customers enjoying food and drink - like a large family gathering! We had grilled sea bas and a mainated pork and clam dish. The fish was perfect with traditional boiled potatoes 🥔. The class also perfect, but the pork a little over cooked, this maybe how it is served, regardless it was delicious. There was also a serve of French fries so we were very well fed. Desserts were fresh cakes, a chocolate layer cake and portugese meringue. Staff were friendly and chatty, bringing drinks and food. Great night out. I recommend you book ahead. Toilets were clean.

This is not a posh place, but here you enjoy some simple quality food what is made for the locals.

So - do not select this place if you want to impress a lady, but if you want to have an excellent meal with friends or if your lady is already your friend - then it is the right choice.

We turned up without booking, but it was worth the wait...just watching the No28 trams and much of Lisbon trundle past the door. The food was excellent and authentic.
