A wonderful discovery...
We were looking for something simple, typical of Portuguese cuisine, and we got it. A true delight.
We dined there twice.

Garlic shrimp, grilled octopus and a glass of chilled sparkling white wine... a real treat.
Our table-mates' cod dish looked just as delicious...

Go there with your eyes closed, you won't regret it. Enjoy.

Stumbled into this beautiful restaurant on the way to another one - but something about the blue exterior and the zebra icon that made us walk into it. And boy, were we glad we did! We were greeted with the warmest smile, and the best service! The waiter is a true gem (i wish i had asked for his name), but he truly made our night. The food is non-pretentious, beautifully prepared, and incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the grilled octopus and clams.

This is THE place to go for bolinhos de bacalhau (cod), which is on their menu as Pastel de Bacalhau, and which some people refer to as cod croquettes. They are so light and flavorful.

This is a family-owned restaurant and their love for the development of the food shines through.

We also highly recommend it for the caldo verde (Portuguese cabbage soup and the croquete atum (tuna).

Of course, heOur lunch at Tasca Zebras was truly memorable. It began with an appetizing starter of dark bread enriched with honey-butter and a delightful assortment of olives. The highlight was the tuna croquettes, which were perfectly crisp outside and deliciously tender inside, served alongside a flavorful tomato rice that beautifully complemented the dish. The 'pulpo' salad, with its tender octopus and vibrant taste, was another standout. And the fried seafood platter, a symphony of perfectly fried delicacies, brought the essence of the sea to our table. Each element of the meal showcased the culinary excellence of Tasca Zebras.

Had an incredible meal here at Tasca Zebra! The hospitality of the staff and quality of the food is unmatched. All the staff takes time to understand their customers and their preferences and provide adequate recommendations based on their preferences. They are so kind and this is the place to try in Lisbon I have not had a better meal. We were recommended the Pau Píca, then the octopus then the cod fish! Highly recommend. Also worth trying is their house wine Safadinha ( Naughty girl )

One of these hidden pearls that you may find on a lucky day. We tried several starters, all were delicious BUT special distinction goes to the (30y-secret recipe) Mousse of chocolate. Staff very friendly and the place is just beautiful.

Very family run restaurant. Fresh fish and plenty of veggies, with baked apple for dessert just made our stay in Lisbon. A bless and bliss! (And don’t bring your expections of poch ambiance)
For three people - 70 euros including 2 starters, 3 mains, bottled wine with tips

The restaurant is amazing. We have ordered the octopus rice and it was really delicious. It have been the most delicious octopus rice I have ever had. The octopus is tender and the flavour was fully blended with the rice, which was very impressive. The other food was amazing as well and the price is adequate. It is a must-try in Portugal !

The best meal I had in Lisbon so far ( the fifth day of my trip). The food is so delicious, I am almost thinking about takeout for a dinner. I have octopus and rice in the pot, and clam. Highly recommended. Small space but I came at 4pm so no waiting. Staff is very friendly and explains dishes well.

I don’t know how to say this without it seeming like an exaggeration. This was the best food I’ve ever had. The limpets were phenomenal, and described by our server as “a bite of the ocean” which is incredibly accurate to the dish, which comes our sizzling. The octopus salad was incredible with red peppers and cilantro that made it taste fresh and exciting, and the clams were the perfect morsels. My partner, who has grown up by the sea all his life and has dug his own clams for just as long, had never thought to have them with potatoes. He was blown away. Our server was incredible, the house wine (vihno verde of course) was perfectly paired with every dish, and the chocolate mousse can only be described as “decadent”. I don’t know how we got so lucky to stumble upon this place but it is a must visit if you’re is Lisbon.

Dinner at Tasca Zebras was a real highlight of a trip to Lisbon. A gem of a small, cosy restaurant with lovely tiled decor and very friendly, accommodating staff. The tuna prego was exceptional, and the house vinho verde a perfect match. A beautiful meal to have to the rhythm of the passing 28E tram. Book ahead if you can, we felt very lucky to be able to be seated on the night!

We loved everything about this little tasca - from the staff to the food and ambience. It’s incredible that forward thinking small business owners are making the effort to save places like this. Don’t miss the tuna sandwich!
