A full experience of Fado, melancholy older Portuguese style music, in a beautiful artsy setting. Was a perfect evening in Lisboa! The most delicious Chocolate mousse (from someone who doesn't even like chocolate desserts)

Best fado music. Food is average but most of fado restaurants are same. We ordered cod fish. It was ok. They use frozen cod fish. Next time I’ll order different dish. Music was amazing. Better than many other fado restaurants. Beautiful decor, historical architecture. Nice service. Place is big. Need to make a reservation earlier, otherwise you will seat so far from the singers.

Café Luso was a great Fado Music dinner experience. We had a three course sea bass dinner and a live performance of Fado Music. The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is great. It makes you feel like you are deep in a cellar with domed clay tile ceilings.

At first I thought of the place as a high-end tourist trap, but the evening turned into a very decent one: the food was really good, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the beautiful fado experience rounded the evening.
If you're looking for a good fado place, you should definitely visit. 🎶

A wonderful dining and entertainment experience with a friendly and attentive staff. The best part of the evening is the Fado music sung by quintet of soloists and trio of musicians that bring together an exceptional finale that moves the audience.

Delicious food and wonderful fado. We were struggling to find a classy fado establishment, and very glad to have picked Cafe Luso.

In short, tasty food, a great mix of fado singers and superb guitar playing, and attentive service. And of course, with traditional Portuguese surroundings - arched brick roof, candlelit, and good acoustics.

Coming to any fado establishment, you should expect pricey mains (€30) as you’re not paying separately for the fado. To start we had garish prawns which were large, followed by Cod Gratin and Steak Portuguese Style. Both mains were extremely tasty, although strange to serve the steak with crisps (only reason I’d consider dropping to 4 stars). Large selection of bottles of wine priced around €20-25.

The staff was so professional, helpful, and attentive. The Fado music was so beautiful we stayed hours longer than we intended, and made us never want to leave! Thank you for my favorite dinner spot in our trip to Portugal!
