Fabulous fish dish, fantastic carrot cream soup, small place seems like family-run. Feels like an authentic Portuguese food experience. I would highly recommend and will definitely come back.

Grilled salmon was fantastic, and the cheese, bread, and olives plate are great as well! Cash only. Only negative was the need to get bottled water instead of tap.

I can only say it was SUPERB! From the attention from the owners to the food. I ordered grilled sea bream, and it was the best fish I had in the city. if I could I would repeat it every week. The relation between food quality and price it's more than fair. We also got a kind of cake that I can not remember the name for desert that was not pricey and so good! You can only pay in cash, but if you know it in advance that won't be a problem.

They serve traditional Portuguese dishes which comes in huge servings. Particularly loving their cheese and my choice of fish - tuna steak which comes with loads of onions and boiled potato. It’s my first time eating tuna in this cooking method. Their seafood is the highlight. Because we love the food so much, we booked our next reservation in a couple of days to try our different dishes before we leave.

An amazing family-run business. The food is delicious, affordable, and well portioned. The atmosphere is very friendly and authentic and the staff are very helpful. Hands down my favorite spot in Lisbon. I would recommend going earlier (before 1 pm) if you don’t want to wait in line. Cash only.

Unfussy, perfectly prepared food. The wait is going to be worth it. The waiter is amazingly patient and kind.

It was incredible. If you are craving some traditional Portuguese food this is the spot. I had the mixed fish dish and it was incredible. I couldn’t stop eating it. The sangria is also perfect and the cheese was too. Price was extremely affordable (but cash only) 45£ for 2 people !

Splendid food. Large portions, price is more on the cheap side. Strongly recommend to book a table in advance, otherwise no chance of a place to sit.

Great family run restaurant hidden in one of the side streets of Alfama. The food is fresh and served in large portions. We had some beef with homemade fries and an entire sea bass with some vegetable. It was delicious and affordable and the staff was great. Would recommend.

Very local, authentic, family run restaurant with mainly grilled dish options! We ate fish based grill plates and it was super well cooked!
Portions are very satisfying and prices are very good compared to quality! They serve olives and cheese for each table and we absolutely loved the cheese😋
It’s highly advised to book for dinner but walk-ins are possible for lunch.
If you want to go local, this would be definitely an option!

I had the grilled seabass and vegetable soup which both taste amazing!!!! The restaurant feels like home. It worth climbing all those stairs.

Traditional kitchen cuisine. A must have when you are visiting Castle St George. Make a reservation ahead of time. The place gets crowded fast! Amazing and delectable lunch.

Very good authentic Portuguese cuisine, in a charming place led by very attentive and warm hearted staff. Come early if you want a seat. Can recommend the salmon and try the dish of the house. Prices are normal for the area, definitely got more expensive in the last years. Fish was quite salty but very good nevertheless.

Great value for money. The prices are fair and the food is fresh and homemade. We recommend it but make sure to get there early because they only have a few tables so there is always a huge queue outside. Also, you need to take CASH with you because they don’t accept payments by card.

A must place to eat in Lisboa with food that you will surely remember. The first thing to know is that they give you bread with cheese and olives and this is optional, if you eat it, it’s 8 euros and I think it’s worth it for its taste. I would recommend to definitely try the soup with the spinach, it was delicious and homemade. For main we tried the mixed fish plate that has different type of fish that are grilled, served with veggies. We also did try the mixed skewers, they were quite big portions served with salad and fries. Staff were friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our table.

Fab little family run place, recommended by a local tour guide. Long queues the two times we went past (lunch and dinner). Nice waiter. Slightly unorganised but it’s part of the charm, food was well worth the wait. Fish was seasoned and cooked (on a BBQ at a guess) to perfection. Can’t recommend enough, if you’re lucky enough to get a table

Simply unbelievable quality and value. Small place and very popular so make a booking if you don't want a long wait. That said - well worth waiting for. Fish, meat, dessert - all incredible!
