Has a feel of a very high-end restaurant with staff who are superbly discreet and service that is instant, low-key and expert. A lovely busy ambience, noise-level muted but engaged and a sailing theme everywhere in the decor and artwork. Top - quality food presentation, delivery and dining. Everything is fresh from the sea. 5 stars.

My partner booked this restaurant for my birthday and we cannot complain one bit, this restaurant is family orientated and reasonably priced. We ordered 3 courses and some cocktails, there's plenty of choice on the menu - I will say it can be quite windy if you sit outside, however there's not much that can be done about this but don't let that deter you from eating some quality food!

The restaurant O Marinheiro has an excellent approach to creating delicious dishes. The chef mixes spices and exciting food combinations to create tasty and delicious dishes. The quality and taste of the fish and meat were outstanding. The wine list covers a good choice of wines from different regions of Portugal. The prices for the food and wines are adequate to taste and quality. The service was friendly and courteous. So, we had a great dinner and will return. Like any of my reviews, of course, this review is related to the type of restaurant, the restaurant's gastronomic objective, the overall gastronomic quality of the respective city, and the general context and needs to get compared to similar types of restaurants.

Great food all the meals we ate from starter to dessert were amazing. Perhaps add a bit more salt from the start it's not the end of the world since I can always just add it myself but otherwise close to perfect.

What an experience! The food was amazing. We were a company of 6, everything we ordered was top notch! The details and attention that go into every dish are clearly Michelin-worthy. My favorite was the Tataki, i never had this dish before and it blew my mind.
The desserts are definitely a must! I normally don’t eat sweets so i ordered one that is a combination of slightly sweet and salty, crunchy and soft, warm and a bit cold. My tastebuds were bedazzled :)
So I obviously highly recommend this place, don’t miss it!

We were here two nights in a row. Reservation is recomended. Lovely, capable staff, friendly, fluent English, the way you want to be treatet. I could eat here every night, even just so I can taste eveything. The tuna is so gooood, shrimps too, and do not skip the crème brulé. Forgot to take pictures the first night. Of you brought a pretty outfit, here is your change.

Came to Portugal on holiday for 7 days. I ate here for 3 of the days. Every night, the food was perfect. Service is great too. Highly recommend.

Incredible Portuguese food, crafted delicately and presented beautifully. Rich combinations of ingredients to deliver traditional flavors with a modern twist.

We had a lovely dinner here, great atmosphere. Make sure you book in advance. We found it a little a bit pricey but still recommend it as the food was delicious.

We walked in unbooked and were lucky to have a table. Very nice place, food was excellent and service to match.
Portions are good and there are sides to add if needed. Our bill was around 50€ each which included 3 beers and 2 courses which given the standard is fair.

Wow what an experience! We had Portuguese food in Porto, Lisbon, Sintra, Albufeira and liked this the best. Everything from service to food to atmosphere was 10/10. Really happy to have secured a reservation here. We ordered the garlic bread and soup of the day for starters. The Salmon and John Dory for mains. And creme brulee for desserts. Mango Margarita and Passion Tiki drinks. Everything was top notch. Just sad we only got to try this place one our last day in the Algarve, else we would've gone back for more.

If there’s one place you don’t want to miss during your trip it’s this restaurant! The food is out of this world and the staff is super kind! Make sure to reserve in advance because we showed up on a Tuesday night in march (down season) and it was rly hard to get a table!

Amazing dining experience! We arrived around 7:30 on a Wednesday and were seated immediately outside. We got the garlic bread and pastoral flavour to start and both were great. We got the Mediterranean Touch (John dory) and A Marinheiro Classic (duck) and can’t recommend each enough - amazing! We got the Passion (chocolate cake) to end, delicious. Everything tasted so good and was so pretty.

Michelin restaurant with a lively garden and attentive service. The dishes were attentively crafted and finely presented. The recommended wine was also delicious. We were expecting a sourdough ciabatta kind of bread (Italian style) instead of the one in the pictures but needless to say it tasted very good regardless.

This is a wonderful place. Every item on the menu sounds very appetising. We tried a few starters and mains over a couple of visits, but mostly had the steak and tomahawk. Both were fantastic. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has a lovely feel. Very much recommended, it might be our favourite place in the area.

Nice, upscale restaurant. Excellent and beautifully presented food and cocktails. Friendly, helpful service. Prices are a bit higher than in many other Portuguese restaurants but nevertheless worth it. Open late (we arrived ar 22.30 on a Friday and the kitchen was still open).

Recommended by the villa we were staying at. Food was fabulous, service was impeccable and atmosphere was great. Would happily come back again.
