Neighbourhood Lisbon

Visited for brunch, there was a waiting time (they put your name on a waiting list) but it moved rather fast.
The food was really good, and so was the service with a very friendly staff.

Only negative point on my end is that the portions are average size and I tend to eat a lot so it took 2 dishes for me to feel satiated, and given the pricing it can get a bit expensive. But it shouldn't be an issue with regular portion-eating people.

It's a cash free establishment which I love, so kudos for that!

I ate 5 burgers at Neighbourhood in 4 days, including 2 in the same sitting (much to the waitress’s surprise and delight). Enough said!

Good luck getting a seat for breakfast or lunch unless you’re happy to wait a while or show up at JUST the right moment, but the place really chills out in the late afternoon and evening.

Neighbourhood ‘twas a lovely spot to have relax, read, and enjoy nice organic wines with delicious burgers and fries.

This local Lisbon coffee and breakfast cafe is really superb. We especially loved the breakfast burrito with Spanish chorizo, even going back a second time just for that (and the coffee and fresh range juice of course!) The people who work there are extremely kind and friendly.

I actually dragged my friends here on my stag do (I’d had 12 months of strict training and diet so my stag was also a challenge to fit 4000 calories in a day 😅)

The food was so good the first day, we went back the second day! I wish I could just pick this place up and drop it where I live. Such great food and a completely welcoming atmosphere. Make sure you eat here if you’re in Lisbon!

We came because my boyfriend saw a food blogger rave about this place on Instagram and it didn’t disappoint! We had the breakfast burrito which was super tasty, hearty, and it didn’t leave us feeling gross at all (unlike other burritos). The coffee was great too and the spot is perfect for people-watching in a cool neighborhood of the city. They also sell coffee beans!

we sat outside and had iced coffee to rest our legs for a little bit. the servers were attentive, welcoming, and informative. we loved stumbling upon this cafe and would love to come back for brunch one day. highly recommend.

Great coffee, highly recommend the Turkish eggs. Unfortunately didn’t have the Carnita’s the morning we were there but all food looked great. They do have a “no laptops and iPads” policy so don’t expect to be able to work ☺

Excellent breakfast at neighbourhood, lot of people ordering the burrito, but once I saw the Mexican pulled pork carnitas I changed my mind and so glad I did, a decent portion of pulled pork, topped with a spicy Hollandaise and a pair of poached eggs, amazing. Also had the pumpkin loaf special, excellent, and good to share with another coffee, which are also fab. We had to wait for about 10 mins but was worth it, seats inside and outside. Highly recommended for brekkie!

Neighbourhood cafe offers everything a traveller needs in a late morning breakfast with a wide range of delicious options and excellent coffee. I especially enjoyed the strong flavours of the coffee that pressed on the boarders of acidity and bitterness without being unbalanced.

For food, my companion and I shared the pork eggs Benedict and the carne burrito. The pulled pork was well seasoned, moist, and flavourful with a subtle jalapeño kick. The staff was very kind and accommodating to provide us with two plates; pictured here is a half portion of the Benedict. The highlight of the burrito for me was the salsa with bright, juicy, invigorating flavours that cut the richness of the eggs and chorizo.

It was so good here that even on a short trip in Lisbon, I would eat here twice.

A bustling yet inviting café! The food was exceptionally delicious and freshly prepared. The customer service was impeccable. I thoroughly enjoyed their dishes and would highly recommend visiting Neighbourhood if you’re in search of tasty, freshly made brunch options! We ordered 6 dishes including the breakfast burritos, avocados and toast, toasties and Turkish eggs!

Off the bat, possibly the best breakfast burrito of my life!

I will elaborate. This was such a beautiful burrito. I was a tiny bit disappointed that it wasn’t cut in half. Then, as I started eating it, I realized that this was by design. The eggs are the hero of this burrito. Maybe it’s because I’m from America (where good eggs are a novelty) then lived in the UK (whose eggs seem glorious when compared to the US variety), then started buying Portuguese eggs (how could I have ever stomached those US monstrosities?!) and then I come here where the eggs are cooked to such perfection, it’s incredible.

Eggs are my favorite food so forgive me that little diatribe. They were made perfectly for this burrito which also features beans (not super sure why they’re described as refried beans on the menu. Maybe I’m ignorant as to what a refried beans is in Portugal. If you’re from the US, it’s whole black beans), some sort of cheddar, avocado and some insanely delicious mayonnaise.

The above describes the veggie burrito but I opted for the meaty which is all of the above plus Spanish chorizo. I cannot recommend it enough. This is not the time/place to count calories, get the meat. It is worth your while.

Drinkwise, I went for OJ which was fine enough and amazingly came with ice cubes.

The staff are super friendly, inviting and efficient. I am highly tempted to go right back tomorrow.

Neighbourhood Cafe in Lisbon is a really nice spot. We opted to sit outside and enjoyed a good cup of coffee since it was warm outside. To accompany it, we tried their pumpkin bread – a delightful choice. Even though they were out of cream, we didn't mind at all, as the bread itself was so tasty.

The staff was friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Overall, Neighbourhood Cafe offered a nice experience for us.

Service was great and the food was delicious. You can tell this restaurant is well-oiled machine. I put my name down and waited maybe ten minutes, and had my food and coffee within 5 minutes of me sitting down at my table. Thank you for the lovely meal!

Really cute spot, perfect for sitting outside and people watching in a very picturesque area. Food is delicious and fresh and probably one of the best breakfast burritos ive ever had. Service was basically nonexistent, but I was solo and guess I didn’t need much!

Great vibe and friendly service. The meaty burrito was absolutely banging and was unlike any breakfast dish I’ve had before.

Also had the iced chocolate to drink which was in my opinion very underwhelming but did not detract from the food and vibe.

Had a lovely brunch here on our last day and honestly wished we’d come every day before that, the breakfast burrito was so tasty and everything was very reasonably priced!

Will definitely be back again next time we’re in the city.

This place was really busy and I can understand why, it’s a staple recommendation in anyone’s trip to lisbon but on top of that it didn’t disappoint. There’s a difference between being just hype and a place that creates it and this creates it, would recommend heading to this spot, you may find yourself waiting but you can take away if necessary! The breakfast burrito with Chorizo was our choice but there’s many more you can choose from!

Had the kimchi breakfast burrito and the pumpkin loaf special, both delicious and a lot on the menu I’d like to try next time. Bit of a wait but definitely worth it
