Mr. Binho Sushi

We came across this restaurant yesterday from the Rally Fish event in Porto and found out that the sushi we tried were superb! The chefs were also very friendly to us since we sat in front of the bar. We saw that they prepare the food happily and nicely every dish but we were too full to order anything else.

So, we decided to go back again today and order the sushi-sashimi set. The pieces of fish were is fair size. The fish were fresh and the sauces has the unique taste. We love the salmon and the salmon aburi which has cheese on top, it was sooooooo good.

Apart from that, the owner were very friendly and nice. Also, their staff were attentive and have service-minded, especially those two Nepali chefs who greet us well since our first steps into the restaurant. Thank you for the great meal. We will come back again for sure if we have a chance to.

Suggestion, even though nowadays it's very convenient to use Google translate, but it will be good to have some English menu at the restaurant for the non Portuguese speaker like us 😂

What a great find!

The food was excellent - my wife, daughter (a sushi lover and the reason we went) and me had the 40 piece fusion platter plus a couple of extras. And our other daughter had the spaghetti bolognaise. It was all excellent.

The sushi and sashimi were all very well executed.

The restaurant itself was a really nice place to spend and evening. And the service was exceptional.

The owner even came out at the end to say hello to the children, which was a very thoughtful touch.

We went on a Friday night and booked in advance - which may be a good idea as it was quite busy, though certainly not noisy.

I read a couple of other reviews and was a bit confused by some of the negative points. I’ll address them here:

The rice was really well cooked - a slight bite, exactly as it should be - and it was very well seasoned.

The service was exemplary. We had a very friendly English speaking waiter who looked after the whole family so well. We didn’t wait too long for anything either.

Our sushi platter was the fusion platter. I thought it was great. Not too out there. And there’s are more traditional options available if you want them. Our waiter spent time making sure we had made the correct choice.

And the price was very reasonable- sushi isn’t the cheapest. But this meal was by no means expensive - we paid €70 and had enough food to feed a family of four, plus two beers, sake (very good) and a coffee. I honestly don’t think you could get better sushi, in very nice surroundings, for less money.

You definitely have to visit this place, but you should be ready it can take about 20-30 mins before you get your order

We arrive close to the closing time and they still accepted us and provided amazing sushi.

I absolutely love sushi and have tried so many places in Porto. This is hands down the best sushi you will find in the area. The ambiance, service, and sushi was top notch.

When i came in the door, i walked out again to take pictures of the sign and it says " made whit love" i came into a beautiful place like a half jungle and half of perfect mans room made by a man. Samurai worrier, Sushi knifes, fishnet, lovely decoration and the staff meet me whit a big smile! I love this place and i was here late night 22.30 but the made me the best Taikai tuna and the best of mix sushi you ever tryed! Full of suprise and flavors. And there were s lot of food! I tell you this is a must try and my favorite sushi place in Portugal and i travel all over and eat sushi every day and this place is my number 1! 6 stars and the man need a Michelin star for sure! Its more than a restaurant, its a place whit music and nice atmosphere and nice staff! Wow

Delicious fusion sushi and awesome service. A little bit more expensive than the usual sushi restaurants but in return you get soo much more quality. Try the tempura and drink hot sake.

Fantastic sushi sets, one of the best in the area. The staff is very friendly and professional, the restaurant itself is small but cozy, with pleasant music, light and decor.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Binho! Popped in with my girlfriend before primavera sounds festival and we’re served free champagne and a free appetizer to celebrate. Also staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with exporting leftover sushi. Presentation was beautiful, best sushi we’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend, 5/5!!

The food is amazing! The interior and the atmosphere is very good and beautiful. The only disadvantage is the price. But I can say for sure that this is the best sushi place in Porto

Very good sushi with a surprisingly good quality. Generally speaking against other sushi restaurants in Porto, this restaurante has a very good price- quality relation. The dishes come in large quantities, while maintain an above average quality and affordable prices. The service is good, and despite the location not being perfect the rest makes up for it. Definitely a good option to visit.

The best price/quality sushi that you can have in Porto. Fresh, tasty with very good pesentation. Like almost any fusion sushi restaurants you are expexted to wait while they build your delicious dish .

Great ambiance, food is typical fusion sushi place. Has freestyle sushi and diverse appetizers and has average prices. Good deserts too. Will come again.
