InDiferente Restaurante

Absolutely incredible. We came here on a quiet Friday night in Feb and start to finish one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. We did the memories tasting menu and a bottle of sparkling wine. Every dish in the tasting menu was lovely- we particularly enjoyed the crayfish bisque (I normally don’t like soup) and the veal but couldn’t really find a fault in any dish, all were well balanced and beautifully presented. The service was also great- everyone made us feel very welcome and offered a nice explanation of each dish. Overall, I’ll definitely be returning whenever in Porto!

My partner and I enjoyed the ‘In Diferente’ tasting menu last night, what a treat! The restaurant has amazing reviews and it’s understandably well deserved.

The tasting menu was incredible in that all of the dishes importantly had “moreish” flavours and textures, though of course executed with incredible technique and visual appeal on the plate. The multiple ingredients and flavours worked so well in harmony we couldn’t shut up about it over each course, such balance of flavours. The desserts were equally special transcending typical dessert sweetness for some very interesting flavour combinations.

The wine pairing was expertly curated to the menu, excellent glassware too, this was a superb Portuguese wine experience.

The whole experience punched well above some one and two-star Michelins we have experienced as importantly the environment and atmosphere was warm and easy-going with friendly smiling staff along with impeccable service. The pace of the tastings was on point (about 2h45m from seating) and it felt just the right amount of food. It feels like an outstanding high calibre local you’d love to visit time and time again to experience the whole offering.

We’ll be back in a few months to sample the ‘Tribute’ or a la carte menu and I expect back again sometime after. Cheers to the team last night, great job 👌

One of the most underrated restaurant in Porto. Food is Michelin level, service at least worth a Michelin two star. If you want some surprise, this place won't let you down.

Brilliant experience last night on our first evening in Porto! We had the Tribute tasting menu. Really exceptional dishes with beautiful combination of flavours, and everything was well explained. The sommelier gave us a great pairing of local wine (they’ve got a very good selection!), and the service was impeccable. Very calm, welcoming and genuine atmosphere too. Thanks InDiferente!

Wonderful restaurant with two different tasting menus or an a la carte. A beautifully calm little restaurant, with a highly creative woman from Brazil as Head chef. We had a tasting menu with new dishes, several of which were inspired by traditional Brazilian or Portuguese dishes (or drinks!) but with a very modern take. All of it worked superbly. On top of that the restaurant had a calming atmosphere with excellent, attentive, good humoured service and a nice wine suggestion from the sommelier. Great experience and reasonably priced for the quality.

Great food and service. We took the 7 course Tasting Menu "Memories" and must say that it was a heavy meal. I think the other tasting menu 'In Diferente' with 2 courses less would have sufficed.

It took about 2.5 hours for the full service which was a slightly longer time than I had expected but frankly it was kept interesting by the different foods that kept appearing over the course of the meal. Some courses were better than others but overall I would rate this restaurant quite highly.

Food was something we liked a lot, but the service, including the wine pairing, brought this tonight's event to some new level of experience. We went to the one-star Michelin restaurant a day before, but we liked it much more here. You can feel the staff's passion for the food and wine, and it transfers to the guests. The place is outside of the tourist areas. Really nice establishment, we are going to recommend this place to our friends.

Such a beautiful experience! The dishes were all so creative and delicious. The service was fantastic and the waiters were so knowledgeable and able to make fantastic recommendations. We have tried other bib gourmand/Michelin restaraunts and this was memorable. Highly recommend making the trip out from old town and also combining with a beautiful walk by the beach.

Food was amazing, wine pairing even more so, but what really made me love this place was the atmosphere! I've eaten at quite a few high end restaurants, and this place is truly outstanding in the atmosphere that the staff creates. I was pretty much blown away (and that rarely happens). Thanks a lot for a great meal!

Amazing personalize service. Went here with my partner. They split all the dishes in two to make it easier for us to enjoy. There's much I could say about the mains, but I will highlight the desserts. Exquisite. A must have. Would highly recommend.

Easy to see why this restaurant was awarded Bib Gourmand status by Michelin. We had a lovely evening from start to finish, the service is impeccable yet friendly and down-to-earth. The server and sommelier were both so knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining each dish and wine pairing. The food was wonderful, and the portion sizes were perfect. Highly recommend the set menu with wine pairings for a seamless evening. We ended the evening with one last glass of port and a wonderful local tea - my advice is to say yes to any recommendations made to you, as they are guaranteed to be exquisite.

Great food and great service. We had wine pairing and the wine sommelier provided clear explanations. The service staffs also gave detailed but interesting explanation of each dish.

One of my favorite meals in Portugal — surprised they don’t have a michelin star yet. Service was amazing, servers and sommelier very knowledgeable and approachable. Only good things to say.

The team was amazing, fantastic Ambiente in the restaurant and from the minute we came till the minute we left (5hours) the experience was wonderful!

The sommelier Hugo, recommended fine wines as affordable price points for the table. All from Portugal and the chocapalha red wine was stunning!

Mr Marcello provided consistent and dedicated service thought out the night!

Jaime was serving us authenticity and immense knowledge about the foods being served during the tasting menu. He also cleverly adjusted some dishes for the seafood and other eaters at the table.

The chef Angelica cooked up for our table each course with passion and beautiful flavours, complementing the previous courses and really taking us on a delicious journey.

Highly recommend to visit if you are in Porto! We will come back for just this restaurant.

Outstanding food and service. I ate here several times during my two weeks in Porto. Every single dish was delicious. Great wine pairings. Very reasonable prices - similar quality would easily cost twice as much in London or New York.

This was one of my favourite meals ever. The food and service were amazing and so reasonable in price! Every dish we had was impeccable. We ordered from the a la carte lunch menu and informed the staff we were sharing. The kitchen was extremely understanding and split each dish into 2 prior to serving! We had the garlic and rump starters, turbot and pork wellington mains and chocolate peanut butter dessert, as well as a glass of white wine each. The standouts had to be the rump (cured beef which was so tender and not overly salty) and pork wellington. Never seen pork wellington anywhere else before and the meat was so tender and sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Must visit in Porto for a nice quiet meal!

Absolute hidden gem! Did the degustation menu with wine pairing and it really was top class. Some really interesting modern takes on Portuguese classics paired with some really special wines - and not always what you would expect! The staff were great too, very friendly, knowledgeable and made extra effort to ensure we had a great experience. Highly recommend!

We came 3 adults and a 1.5 yo baby. The food was an experience to remember for many days. Our baby was treated extreamly kindly. A special place for special occasions.

Had an unforgettable evening at In Diferente. The service was out of this world, very knowledgeable sommelier, and the creativity and presentation of every single dish was truly remarkable. On top of all, the prices were beyond reasonable. Get the tasting menu - you won't regret it. Will definitely be back the next time we visit Porto.

Very creative and cohesive dishes that shows a part of the chefs Brazilian heritage mixed in with Portuguese and French techniques. Food is delicious , service is great and price is reasonable. 10/10 would visit again
