Staff very helpful and friendly. Some of them with very good command of English. I had forgotten some item in the room and they phoned me later to inform me about it and arranged to send it to my home address. The room was nice, breakfast individually served, unfortunately the Restaurant was closed, maybe because of very few visitors at this time of the year.
Location and views great and parking no problem, just getting there is a bit tricky due to the narrow streets and archways of the fortress.

Really exceptional hotel inside the old walled city of Valença. Beautifully appointed, 5-star service, crisp sheets, large towels, extensive breakfast buffet included. Nice break from walking the Camino as a pilgrim to get a little royal treatment. Prices on the web range from $100 to over $250 per night. Reserve early to get the best rates.

Wonderful walled city in northern Portugal close to the border with Spain. Plenty of bars, cafes, shops to enjoy. Great to walk around and take in the views.

Super nice staff and everything was neat and clean. Rustic/traditional decoration and comfortable living rooms. Very good breakfast and terrace/restaurant with outstanding view!

Nice coffes bars.. lot of shops around, especially for towels, they are really nice byteway. Only bad touch most of the shops accept only cash . Nice place

wouldn't be going here again, we paid double the price for the coffee that we had everywhere else in that region of Portugal. so decided it was not a place we would eat at, and the coffee was not very hot, so sorry you only get one star from me

Lovely hotel and restaurant in a most quaint setting inside a military fort.
Hotel rooms were top class and the evening meal was excellent.
No hesitation recommending this hotel
