We found ourselves here by coincidence and didn't want to leave anymore. This campsite is well kept with love by the super friendly owners. It's far from anything so you'll get to experience nature, first-hand. It makes you think about the resources you use, like water and electricity because everything is self-sourced here (no worries there is always enough). The sunsets, sounds of animals and nature and outstanding facilities round it off to perfection. Can't wait to come again!

We found this lovely place at the last minute and wow we are glad we did. We loved it so much that we extended our stay. The owners we so sweet and welcoming. We learned a lot about what sustainablity looks like in central Portugal and got to enjoy the most serene beautiful place in the process. When we get back to Portugal this place will definitely be a long stop for us again. Thank you both!

This is the perfect camping for those who want to camp in the middle of nature. It has large spaces with nature left untouched as much as possible. Totally off-grid. Great outdoor experience. Great sunset. There's very little light pollution which makes it ideal for stargazing.
The owners are very friendly and passionate about their campsite. I recommend the breakfast with home made bread.
It's kid-friendly as there are no roads nearby and lots of space to run and explore (no playground though). The showers are very good and clean.
There should be more places like this and I absolutely recommend booking a couple of nights.

This beautiful campsite just blends perfectly into its surroundings. Nature is key on this site. Little signs explain about flora and founa or measures taken to make the site self-sufficient. No cables run to this campsite, so power comes from solar panels and is stored in batteries. Water comes from the sites' own well.

Decent pitches to park your camper or put up your tent. They are nicely spread apart so you are not shoulder to shoulder with your neighbour. This way you really get to enjoy being out in nature.

Great place that we look forward to visit again.

Perfect place for absolute peace and quiet, the owners are lovely, and a great setting if you are after complete tranquility with no noise. Star gazing was fantastic, shootings everywhere night, and lots of interesting wildlife. All clean and well kept with a very eco vibe.

Very quiet campsite, where you can really appreciate nature. The off-grid amenities are well explained by the helpful staff that take pride in their site. The facilities are very nice.

This the most beautiful and well cared for natural camping we have stayed on in all of portugal! Waldemar & Tania are wonderful hosts and their campsite shows that ecology, sustainability & comfort can go hand in hand. Perfect base to explore nearby villages. Highly recommended!

We found out this camping on the web and after reading some promising reviews we decided to try ourself. What we found was even beyond what we expected ! The location itself is amazingly beautiful, calm and silent. The owners, Tania and Walmart, are really welcoming, careful and helpful. Try their fantastic homemade breakfast! Said that It’s more than a simple camping, congratulations to who have created all this! Absolutely one of the best camping we’ve ever been.

We loved staying here and will return. We arrived via bicycle (tandem) and found the owners to be very gracious and knowledgeable. The tent sites are huge and very private, the campsite melds into the existing ecosystem seamlessly, affording a feeling of oneness with the environment. There are many things to see and do in area, my favorite aspect was the night skies. With little to no ambient light, this place is a star-watchers paradise. You won’t regret booking a few nights here.
We’ll be back!

Our favorite campsite in Portugal. Wonderful, and very knowledgeable hosts, fantastic open spaces for tents or RV's. Close to some great hiking/biking. Very eco-minded.

It was one of our Highlights during the portugal-trip. You feel a bit like beeing in african savanna. Great hosts! Great experience! A place to forget about the rest of the world...

Tranquility, open sky, nature. Exactly what we look for when we go camping. Tânia and Waldemar are great folk (and super smart). A beautiful savannah deep in Alentejano.

Really excellent eco-site, 2.5km from Vimieiro. Idyllic location, a warm welcome, great facilities, beautiful pool, spread out pitches and a thoroughly enjoyable 2 days. Reservations needed.

Tania and Waldemar have a lovely site, are very friendly and made us very welcome. They both speak very good English. We had a spacious pitch for our caravan with hard standing and there is a modern toilet and shower block which is very clean. The couple have designed the site for sustainable living so you are encouraged to not waste water or electricity. The site is a good base for touring the Alentejo area and Vimieiro (5km away) has good restaurants / cafes. We initially planned to stay 2 days but then stayed for 6! Sitting out at night looking at the stars is a must! We will return next year.

Mi daughter and I stayed at Bubulcus & Bolotas for 3 nights and it was wonderful. One of the finest campsites we have been here in EU. The dutch owner and his wife are excellent hosts, mindful and always happy to help. They gave us very useful tips in ref. to our visit to Evora, Lisbon and other relevant information about the area. The campsite offers all the amenties a nature loving camper needs: excellent and super clean showers, toilets, proper waste disposal, a beautiful swimmingpool and one of the finest views to the milky way and constellation due to one of the lowest light pollution in the EU. And with even no luck, you can see a handful of meteorids in a time span of 30 minutes. Make sure you have everything you need since there are no major supermarkets in the area. No question, 5*.

Had a great stay at this campsite last summer. We spent our last few days of our holiday in Portugal here, we liked it so much, we decided to book an extra night. The owners are really friendly and we learned a lot from their eco friendly lifestyle. I definitely recommend staying at this place. (and the optional homemade breakfast as well!)

We had a great 3 nights here. 22 euro for 2 adults with electric, which is supplied by solar power, awesome! Lovely shower area and loos. Great owners who have built this lovely space from scratch. English speaking which was good. Loved it, thanx x

Finally the best camping in the universe:
- if you come by bike (aka zero CO2 + other emissions) you are extra-welcome and get a discount
- no car is allowed anywhere close to a tent, endless millions of THANK YOUs for that. This place is to watch the stars!
- perfectly clean
- easy to get to by bike following the ecopista from Évora
- no weird extra payments for electricity if you just need to charge your phone
- wonderfully tasting water

If you care about sustainability, this is your best choice, and you can learn so much from the owners who are actually scientists.
