Great little archaeological site and museum. It's not particularly big, but there is plenty to see and information is well presented, both in Portuguese and English.

Interesting Roman ruins.
Also a small museum with Roman artefacts. The museum is air conditioned which was nice to walk around after walking around the ruins during a heat wave!
Toilets are nice and clean, staff friendly and polite.
Cheap entry. Definitely worth a visit.

A fantastic view into history. A full Roman house layout, with even a few wall remnants. Gorgeous floors, and even heated pools.

Very interesting site with a great little museum. Well preserved Roman ruins right next to Villamoura marina. Well worth a visit. Helpful and friendly lady on the desk.

Forget the beach for an hour or two and dive in the history of the roman villa that once stood right smack in the middle of Vilamoura.
The ruins are well preserved and full of information complemented with beautiful illustrations showing us what once stood right in front of us. The mini-museum is also very clean, well organised and filled with beautiful pieces.
If you choose to enrich your life, don't forget to give a warm welcome to Miss Silvia, she'll be the amazing person welcoming you to Cerro da Vila and providing you with the necessary tickets (that are well worth the price).

Very interesting and enjoyable. The Romans were very advanced. Intricate floor tiles are still there and in pretty good condition considering how old they are.

Great little forum. Shows how brilliant the Romans were. Wild poppies & flowers

These are the remains of the Cerro da vila Roman Villa between Ossonoba and Portus Hannibalis. Besides the domestic spaces (with some tiles remaining and the different spaces still visible), there are the always amazing thermae and some industrial stuff like a fish processing factory. The path could be a little bit better organized and defined.

Nice wee experience. Only takes an hour and €3 for adults. Lovely to dander around the ruins and very interesting seeing the artefacts. Not alot to do in area so glad we went to see this

As of June 2022 it is temporarily closed. However you can still peer at the ruins from the fence, for free. They are only two minutes from the villamoura marina by foot so if you're in the area, why not?

Unique exposition inside
A whole roman village outside. The place itself doesn't take long to tour around but very well worth it

Nice little site and museum to spend an hour, definitely worth a visit. Only 2min from the marina. 4€ each admission.
I would like to add that opens at 10am not 9.30!

Reopened and well worth the €4 charge and 45 minutes to walk around the villa and baths.

Awesome place for those, who love ancient ruins. Price is fine. Stuff allowed me to place my bike inside, so it is an additional plus. Also, I recommend to visit the ruins in Estoi as well.

My wife and I visited on November 30, 2022 and had a wonderful experience. The self guided walk is very easy to follow and the trip back in time is amazing. These ruins are Roman but the site was first occupied 3000 years before them! If you come to the Algarve you should make time for this place.

At only 3 euros entrance fee, well worth a look if you are in vilamoura.
