Amazing place to stay in Sintra. Right away I felt very welcomed and accommodated. The room was nice, clean and had everything I needed. Loved the rain water shower. I received many compliments on the room from the wedding party that I was with. The breakfast was prepared by a celebrity chef that had in depth knowledge of the area and how to best tour and get around. Will need to come back some day. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. All of the folks at Storytellers really helped make my Portugal trip a magical experience.

Cozy room and excellent hospitality from Marco, Nuno and the team. Many palaces were closed our first few days in Sintra but Marco gave us tons of tips in the surrounding area. He even gave us an amazing route to drive from Sintra to Lagos including where to stop for lunch! From the delicious breakfast, spotless room cleaning & laundry to staying late to give us key, the Storytellers team really went above and beyond to make our stay stress-free and memorable. Definitely my favorite place in Portugal!

Our stay at Storytellers Villas was perfect! Fantastic Apartment with everything you could need during your stay. Also, a great location. Delicious breakfast. And of course, wonderful staff. Nuno was very helpful and Marco (owner) was one of the most friendly and interesting people we’ve met on our trip. They really went above and beyond our expectations. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Sintra.

Nice stay...very roomie. Has all the amenities you need and more! It is in a nice location, convenient to a lot of attractions but quiet for a good night's sleep. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is great, nice sitting area and kitchen with all you need, tea, coffee maker, a couple of burners and pots and pans. The best part though is Marco who is the owner. The guy is a legend. He is so nice and hospitable, has tons of stories and is willing to tell you all the great things to do around town.

Three weeks has passed since our stay at Sintra and I can confidently say that Sintra was the highlight of our Portugal road trip (four nights) and that Storytellers was the perfect accompaniment. Our room was comfortable for our family of four and the breakfast a delight each morning. We are looking forward to be back when the town square opposite the hotel is back in operation. Big thanks to Marco and the team.

The stay at Storytellers Villa was the highlight of our Portugal trip. As if the superb location isn't enough (walk to Pena, close to great restaurant, cool microclimate) this hotel also had great rooms (Netflix tv, great bathroom with walkin shower, tastefully decorated). On top of that Marco was an extremely helpful host . One sentence doesn't do justice to lengths Marco went to to help us during the trip(made great breakfast too). All the staff was super friendly and accommodating. In fact we liked it there so much that we made some last minute changes to our trip to have an additional stay there on our way back to Porto. Deserves more than five stars. Highly recommended. Can't wait to stay there again.

Story Tellers is such a wonderful, amazing place to stay! The little apartment is wonderful the grounds have a little sitting are with a pond, the location is WONDERFUL, with ample parking and wonderful views! There is a little cafe right downstairs that make delicious pastries and coffee and it is just in general so pretty! There are also numerous restaurants in walking distance! However the best parts are the owner and the staff. Marco is kind and caring and so very helpful in all way! Literally like you are family and Nuno is the caretaker and he is sooo friendly and caring! They make you feel like they've known you forever and welcome you so warmly! I 1000% recommend!! Sintra is magical and Story Tellers just makes it even better!

You can’t imagine anything better! Great host, amazing design, excellent quality in everything, tranquility and good location. You will have all the advices and assistance needed, you will be surrounded with care and attention. Absolutely must stay!

This stay will remain in our hearts forever.
Me and my girlfriend were travelling to Sintra on 24th of December, leaving on 26th.
Much to our surprise, Marco from the Storytellers called us a day before check-in to inform that all the restaurants will be closed on 24th, that he has already called few restaurants in town to see if we can get any food on Christamas eve. We had no understandment that this would be the situation, and this would be a great setback for our Christmas. Marco then asked what food do we eat, and do we have any allergies, that he will prepare us an traditional portugese Christmas dish.
We arrived to the hotel, and we were the only guests staying that night, so they had prepare us even fancier room than we had booked, for they thought "it was more romantic".
The fridge was filled with cheeses, meat and fish. There was everything for breakfast and for lunch, red and white wine. At 7:30pm, Marco brought us amazing fish dish big enough for 2 days. He spent all that time and energy on Christmas Eve just to save ours as the only guests that night.
The days there were a little rainy, but beautiful. All the basic sights were closed, but the town itself is so beautiful that it is definitely worth the trip. The hotel is beautiful and super cute, location is perfect if you are with a car for you are able to park there easily (not a given in Sintra, believe me)

A wonderful nice little Hotel!
The rooms are little apartments, carefully and cozy designed.
The breakfast was served in the room, or in decent weather on the patio on the top of roof. Overlooking the village.
Marco and his Wife are very nice persons and we highly recommend their Hotel!

Our visit to Sintra was amazing, and so much was due to the wonderful stay we had at Storytellers Villa. This was easily the best accommodation of our 2-week trip; the apartments are very well designed and decorated, and contain everything you might need. The location is also perfect- on a quiet street but also nearby to restaurants, and walkable to all of the main sites (though sometimes a steep climb!). Marco provided so many helpful tips about Sintra and other parts of Portugal, as well as recommended a nearby beach area that wasn't on our radar (Azenhas do Mar), arranged transportation, and made us a dinner reservation just in time to watch the sun set. Thank you to Marco and Nuno for everything and making our stay so easy and enjoyable-- we are looking forward to working on our Portugese and returning!

A hidden gem of a Boutique Hotel in Sintra, Portugal. Marco the owner was fantastic and offered great tips on places to go and local restaurants. I would highly recommend for your stay in Sintra 😎

My wife and I had a FABULOUS time staying at Storytellers Villas! The team of Marco, Christine, & Nuno were very accommodating to our changing travel schedule. They are truly caring people and recommended some great local things to do and places to eat that only the locals would know about. Everything about our stay was AWESOME! Bob & Sue

We had a great stay there. The Appartment was cute, comfy and with everything in it. Breakfast was perfect.
And everybody was very nice too !

i love this place..very cozy the room..very good interior and very clean..breakfast is excellent...
the owner marco very helpfull ..he help us to arrange tour to pena palace and other place ..they also provide transport ..the price even cheaper compare then you have to go by taxi..the staff nuno also is nice and helpfull ..he drop and pick up us and show all around sintra..
