Hotel Golf Mar

This hotel is in an amazing location. We stayed for three nights in May and had a sea view room. We could have easily just stayed on the balcony watching the ocean - it was spectacular! The rooms are a little basic and ready for updating, but they are comfortable and spacious and are perfectly acceptable.
During our first evening my heart sank when 3 busloads of teenagers arrived on a school trip. But my concerns were unfounded - the hotel managed the large group brilliantly. There was no sound from them at night (the rooms are well soundproofed and the sound of the ocean also helps) and the school kids had their own area at breakfast, where they did not disturb the rest of the guests.
Breakfast was exceptional - huge choice and very high quality. All the staff were delightful and the standard of cleanliness was excellent.
The hotel is handy for driving to Lisbon and Sintra and there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby.
We have already planned to return.

The hotel's location is amazing due to the view you get from the Londres Bar balcony, the outdoor pool or the sea view rooms.
The food is excellent. We chose half board and we couldn't be more satisfied. Top quality and variety to choose from. The same applies to breakfast. The rooms are well kept and pretty clean. The outdoor pool is also good as well as the pool bar.And, last but not least, all the staff was very friendly and willing to satisfy all your needs.

I really liked my stay in the Hotel Golf Mar! The staff is super friendly, the food is nice and you can choose from many options. You have a beautiful view over the local beaches and the sea. The hotel room is somewhat outdated but very clean. I can recommend the place for some quite days and relaxation or business meetings.

Very good hotel! The pools are amazing and you also have an exclusive path to the beach if you prefer that. Also has plenty of activities to keep children busy. Definitely coming back soon

Really nice for a short stay.

Excellent facilities, dated decor, but rooms with sea view are fantastic, fall asleep to the sound of waves. Staff nice, relaxed, pools never over crowded. Gym needs new treadmills, we extended our stay. Nice beach bars/restaurant nearby, Santa Cruz 5k cycle ride.

spectacular location,views over Atlantic and beaches.Room clean and comfortable.Breakfast very good choice,never left hungry! Used the London bar every night for a very good and reasonably priced meal, again with views of sunset and local,area.Could have used the restaurant also, I really appreciated not having to drive out somewhere for a pm meal.Staff were polite,friendly and helpful.

We had been there on winter and we could only use the inner pool, that is really good. The hotel rooms are big and confortable. The location is great, just next to the beach. The breakfast was good, and the buffet dinner was also very good.

Nice staff. My room smelled a bit like cigarettes in the first day, but everything was great after. Very clean and very good food.

Amazing Atlantic ocean view from the highest floors. Huge huge waves. You will see many surfers during the windy seasons. Excellent facilities for conferences. Huge grounds and large inside - smaller outside pools. I really enjoyed the sauna and the awesome Turkish bath. They even have a disco with club quality sound. Some times very windy location but also very quiet with few tourists during October. Recommended period to visit if you want to enjoy real peace and tranquility. You need a car to visit the areas around. Very cozy bar with special drinks - ask for alcoholic drink Aguardente da Lourinhã. I got one limited number bottle with me back to Greece. Lourinha is a region nearby worth visiting. Also Peniche where they held surfing world cups. The food at the restaurant (buffet style) was very tasty, offering several options.

The hotel is huge, with a great view to the ocean. The staff is very friendly and the food is also very good. Had a nice stay here for a scientific meeting.

Airline put us up in the hotel during off season after flight problems.

The breakfast and lunch were both very good. The resort looked fantastic as we, even for an off season.
