Stopped at this little restaurant, has a very cosy and authentic atmosphere.
Food is really amazing, service super. Sangria is one of the best ever tasted.
Truly recommend this restaurant.

We had the polvo (octopus) cataplana and it was delicious. All the seafood was cooked perfectly, the waiter was lovely and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We would have definitely been back if we had been on a longer trip!

A great find just by one of the gates to Faro old town. High quality local dishes and extremely friendly staff.

We had the rice with seafood which is a stew of mixed seafood as the name implies with rice to thicken. It was served for two but still huge. Highly recommended.

Very fresh and well prepared with a little touch of the chef. It's on the side of a street but not to much cars passing. My sister ordered lamb and it came as she asked nice red.

This place is such a mood!
We only had drinks after a lovely dinner nearby, but we’re really in love with the place. We’re really sorry we didn’t get to dine in as we’ve heard the food is excellent and the place was busting at 10 pm on a Saturday evening.
The location is magnificent, it really transports you to another times.

One of our best meals in Faro. Had a risotto type fish dish which was lovely. Sat outside. Nice heaters led to a nice warm atmosphere

Delicious seafood, great service and amazing atmosphere

Visited here to try the cod fish Cataplana, and my word, it was amazing! They were very busy, and being a small establishment, we arrived without a reservation just after a large table had arrived inside so we were told it would be around a 40 min wait to order, this didn't put us off, we sat with a bottle of wine outside in the beautiful narrow cobbled lane. Well worth the wait!!

Cataplana is a traditional dish cooked in a copper pot, and it is amazing.

This place is incredible! Everything smells so tasty, so when you're passing by or staying just to have drinks, you are easily convinced to stay. And believe me, its worth every cent. The food is deliberately prepared, beautifully served and made with care. It can be even a show like smoked sausage! I hope I'll be back there!

It’s a no brainer- head here for food, ambience, people watching and feeling the zest for life. I’ve come here m to two days in a row for a long, lazy lunch with gorgeous food and delicious crisp wine. Wait staff easy on the eye too(but not relevant for venue rating;))

A lovely homely restaurant at the entrance of the gates, wrongly I thought it would be touristy and not too authentic but I was very pleasantly surprised.
Our waiter, Diogo, was really helpful when choosing our meals (and his recommendation did not disappoint - cataplana bacalhau with some local white wine - trinca bolotas and then mango mousse for dessert) and his English is superb.
Highly recommended place for a romantic dinner like ours or a daytime snack. Even though we ate fish, they had vegetarian dishes also. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you for the amazing food experience. I had some green wine which was fresh, perfect for the warm weather. Followed by a portion of bread with an tasty olive oil, butter and a delicious octopus salad. I took the octopus as main course, the flavours were fantastic, big portions and perfectly cooked. As dessert, I was offered the mango mousse (sorry, but no photo), which was the perfect end for a great meal. The view of the street and the coziness also adds the value of the place.

Enjoyed a fantastic lunch here! Great old town vibes and feel. Great ambiance. Food was amazing! Had the cataplana with cod, was soooo good. Also had refreshing white sangria. The server was very welcoming and helped us with deciding on our meal, totally loved it all. So much food! We barely finished it all. Recommend this restaurant if you're visiting old town Faro.
