This is truly a magnificent religious space. The Facade could keep you enthralled for a while, and the inside will astound with its very high, ornate ceiling. It was a privilege to look inside

It is a place where you can find the Manueline style in Baixa. If you don’t have time to go all the way to Belem, check out this place instead not to miss out the unique architecture in the Era of Discovery.

This Catholic Church is incredibly beautiful.
Especially the Outside!

Very nice facade from 16th century that survived the earthquake with restored interior in late baroque style.

Superb facade, sumptuous but rather sober baroque style inside.
Liturgy is very well celebrated there.
I strongly recommend.
It is an oasis of peace and silence in the middle of the noisy Lisboa's center.

Amazingly beautiful old church, with a traditional Latin Mass at 10.30am on Sundays. The music included an excellent organist and solo soprano singing. Really special and spiritual experience.

Beautiful church with great facade

Our Lady of Conception church has the facade of Our Lady of Mercy church which was destroyed in the 1755 earthquake, i.e. 2 churches in one!

I liked this old church, looks a bit Gothic from outside and more traditional inside. The architecture is beautiful.

Beautiful church with Extraordinary form Mass

The facade of this church of the very few things that predates the Eart quake of 1755 in this area. The facade was build during the reign of King Manuel in manuelic style. Queen D. Leonor financed its building, one can see her original statue in the facade.

Lovely architecture

The church is serene and beautiful. It has this magnificent burning incense smell.

Must go and see the church totally awesome. Gets very busy so we went later in the afternoon when it was quieter.
