Great service and great food. The katsu don was tasty and the strawberry, piña colada, and apple rolls were surprisingly good. Tuna and spicy tuna rolls were small but good.

Billed as ‘the best sushi in town,’ I just had to try Avenida SushiCafe for lunch with a friend when out and about in Lisbon recently. We were both hungry and wanted to eat and talk, so sharing a bunch of dishes felt like the ideal way to do this.

The starters were chosen with the expert help of our waiter, who was helpful from start to finish. We went for the Himalayan salt rock sashimi of fatty tuna with carameliza onion, kabi wasabi and passion fruit and the Hammachi sashimi with wakame salad, pesto vinaigrette and black salt. We could tell that we were in safe hands with the quality of the food and the skill of the chef.

For main course, we decided that a trio of fabulous dishes was going to be right for our appetite. The Otsukuri - a combination of osyters, tuna, salmon, cuttlefish and shrimp on ice – was a delight. Such a clever dish. This went well with the tuna gunkan with foie gras and caramelized purple onion and both of us loved every mouthful. Then it wouldn’t have been complete without the Wagyu tataki with truffle and shimeji tempura.

There was still room for dessert and we couldn’t choose just one, so decided that both ice cream sundae with miso caramel, oreo crumble and waffle biscuit AND pumpkin pie and cinnamon cheesecake with crispy pumpkin seeds were going to do it for us.

This modern and stylish restaurant never failed to live up to the hype. The food was as trendy as the décor and we had a great time.

We were so surprised that we found this restaurant that serves the authenticate Japanese food in Lisbon. The sushi and sashimi were very fresh and delicious, and the teriyaki salmon was so tender and tasty. The waitress, Iolanda, was extremely friendly and polite, and really made my wife and I felt welcomed there.

Skico was the best server .. i trusted him to get me the best sushi and oysters and he picked amazing ones that I've never had...it was truly a great experience on birthday...Not to forget the free sparkling wine and dessert...

Very pleasant surprise. I had an excellent sushi dish. You definitely need to taste the tuna on top of a salt piece from Himalayas and the Spider sushi. These are my favorites!
Also, the service was very, very good!

Fresh fish, friendly service and some creative maki rolls. Perhaps more focus on the fusion style than traditional sushi, but it works.

Best sushi I ever had! The fish was fresh and very tender, basically melted in your mouth. I usually don’t eat raw fish and always stick with vegetarian sushi, but this one surprised me! The chocolate cake afterwards was superb as well, accompanied with violet ice cream. 10/10, we will definitely come back!

The most amazing sushi in Portugal. We loved it so much we went two nights in a row. Service is great. Food is superb. Location is perfect. Love love. highly recommend .

I went there spontaneous with my family and we loved it. The fish had a very good quality and melted on the tongue! I really recommend the tuna foie gunkan (tuna, fois gras and caramelized red onion) and we also had the sushi & sashimi experience, tasted great!
There isn’t much food with meat so you shouldn’t come if you can’t eat or don’t like fish.
