Party of six adults two had starters prawn cocktails, and melon both large portions the two had fillet steaks one had steak on hotplate,one had chicken and another had the lambchops all meals were very good and large portions came with portions of chips and salad very good service and value for money highly recommend

Genuine Portuguese restaurant. Friendly staff. The manageress is very attentive to the customer's wellbeing and satisfaction. The food both meat and fish is excellent and fresh. The portions are more than well served. You will not leave hungry! The wine proposed is perfect. This place is more than worthwhile for a good simple but tasty local meal that will bot break the bank! And contrary to other places you are not rushed to eat to leave place for the next customers.
On our second visit we had the sea food cataplana. First time we tried it. It was very generous. Simply prepared with clams, muscles, shrimps in a tomato, green pepper and onion sauce served with rice. It tasted fresh, homemade on order.

Very efficient service in a nice cosy atmosphere. I ordered the Swordfish with potatoes and vegetables and it was absolutely delicious, large pieces of fish as well. My wife had the Chicken with pineapple and loved it. Good prices too. Would recommend 👍

This is one of the best restaurants in the region and we enjoyed a lovely fish dinner here. But as we arrived, the doors were closed, and it took awhile for someone to open. It appeared that this was the second last evening before the restaurant would close for the winter season. Maybe this was the reason why they didn't take credit cards. The place was nearly full and we were told there was a wait of about an hour before we could be served. However, it took less time than that and although a few items on the menu were unavailable, we had a good meal, and at a reasonable price.

Food was exceptional. Reasonably priced, great service. 👍

Excellent choices if you like grilled fish!

This place does the best Bif Na Pedra (steak on a stone) I've ever had. The cuts of meat are incredibly high quality and you'll want to drink the garlic sauce that comes with it. Also the service is always great, the staff here know how to make you feel welcome. Can't recommend Restaurante O Manuel enough!

Amazing, 3rd time here and it was the best yet. Steak on the stone, is indeed their speciality. Would also thoroughly recommend the chocolate mousse

We ate here for 3 nights of our week in Alhos d 'Agua. It was excellent on each occasion. Delicious food , friendly and efficient service; highly recommended.

Have been visiting this restaurant at least twice a year for 20 years. Food is top quality . A lovely family run restaurant.excellent menu. Love the fillet steak on a volcanic stone , fried sole, kebabs on a skewer, Portuguese steak salmon etc .

I write reviews online very rarely, but we had superb dinner here. Amazing fresh grilled fish and prawns, fish soup and tasty cocktails. The staff was extremely friendly. Prices are very reasonable.

We have visited olhos de agua, and O Manuel restaurant before and loved it. Classic Portuguese food, very tasty, reasonably priced. Great wine options with very knowledge staff who speak multiple languages to cater to their guests. Highly recommend

Great restaurant, we always come here every year for the steak on a stone. Other food is fantastic too, they have a good selection of homemade desserts too.

One of the best portugues restaurant in this area...

A warm welcome followed by a very friendly and courteous service. Fresh food in a very good quality, well prepared and very delicious (we tried it more the one time). If you like fresh fish or seafood you must have your next lunch or dinner here. If you like also good meat - f.e. a typical portugues skewer - or you are looking for a good vine you are right here. You will like the ambience and the warm atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated with attention to detail.
