I’d personally recommend this place to every tourist who approaches Lisbon. One of the most magical dinner I’ve ever had. Fair priced, service were great and the music…well I’d say it leaves you speechless. Jojo the owner was also great, beautiful person. Can’t wait to be back

This cozy restaurant could be the best kept Fado secret in Lisboa. Unbelievably talented guitar players and a female Fado singer that could be a direct descendent of Amalia herself! I missed her name, as we entered as the show was already on, but I am sure she is a regular artiste. Just when I thought it could not get any better... In walks a local Fado singer called Philippe. The voice of this man still resonates with me, even though we have left Lisboa a few days ago. The food is good, atmosphere great and if the manager tells you their house wine is strong...believe him!

This was an excellent experience. Vado at this restaurante was amazing. A whole different experience The Fado performers are exceptionally excellent.

The food was amazing. I ordered to share the main meals so we get an endless supply of ‘tapas’ across the table.

Such a great night! The music was phenomenal! Minimal consumption was eur 25 per person, and it was a bargain. Highly recommended!

The fado was good, and the staff was good about shushing people that were rude and trying to talk during the show. The food was good as well and the servers were pleasant. My only complaint is that we made a reservation for 2100 and then had to wait outside about 20 minutes outside while the prior group filtered out (we had also showed up a few minutes early so had to wait even longer). I would recommend setting reservations a bit later so people don’t have to wait as long. But the show and the food made up for the inconvenience.

We had a wonderful experience. This tiny gem has character and atmosphere. The food is tasty, filling and unpretentious. The fado singer the night we were there was wonderful. This was a very memorable experience.

The reviews do not lie. Book a table immediately. Sit with the locals and enjoy the amazing Fado singers here! The food was delicious and because it's not in a central touristy spot, also very reasonable. There was a mix of locals and tourists in this tiny gem of a place. I agree with the other reviewer who went back every night (I thought they were exaggerating), I would have returned if I wasn't leaving. We had a blast, bought the musicians and singer a drink, hugs all around. The owner is lovely, as was our server. Such great service! Honestly one of my most memorable nights in Lisbon. Obrigada!! Do. Not. Miss. It.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. While walking through the busy "party" street of Lisbon we happened to fall upon this hidden gem. They served us amazing traditional portuguese style food with 2 different types of wine. The musicians and singer were very energetic and came across very genuine and happy to be showing us a little insight to their beloved Fado. Would recommend to everybody! (But make sure to call ahead of time and make a reservation)

Had the most amazing night here! We enjoyed an absolutely stunning Fado performance from Catarina Rosa — even though we don’t speak Portuguese, her performance was incredibly moving. The staff and owner were super friendly and helpful, and the great food and wine were the cherry on top. The restaurant was a little crowded, but it added to the cozy and intimate atmosphere, and we ended the night with several new friends. Amazing experience overall!

I only recommend the fado!

Service: amazing waitress is super nice and attentive
Fado: amazing! I was recommended because of the fado experience and it was beautiful! the artists are amazing and the place is cozy eith great acoustic
Food: Not ao good. Prices are very expensive for what you get and the taste is very bad. I ordered octopus, and it was fried and came out immediately, meaning it was not fresh. Wine optiona were good, but the prices are elevated for what you get.
The menu is also very small with little options.
I recommend going to go because of the fado but that's all

We saw the reviews and figured we'd give it a try. Super happy we did! This place definitely delivers. Amazing little place with very few seats, we were extremely lucky to get seats without reservations. The band and singer were so passionate about delivering real fado experience. The food was outstanding and they had a good house red wine. If you can, check this place out!

Foods were delicious, Fado was great really love it. Place is too small but it is not a big problem to have great experience. Sangria was amazing.

My boyfriend and I were traveling, and this place really hit the mark! More so than other dedicated fado bars. After I went back home, boyfriend continued traveling and returned to his spot.

All of the singers were amazing, the band (2 guys) were great, and we especially loved the older man who was working the crowd! He made it very entertaining.

exceptional place - there was beautiful live ‘fado’ music being played, and lovely food and service to go with it. close to the main tourist bars, but don’t let that put you off!

Fado that will move you in a quiet dark candle lit venue away from Lisbon’s hustle and bustle

Really strong vocalist sang with feeling to exceptional guitarists.

Fantastic food, brilliant music from local singers & band. Host was amazing and the food to match was top tier! Absolute must make a visit if you are in Lisbon!

This is a small, older place in Lisbon, where you can listen to Fado - in our case, a lady and then a man sang and both were fantastic. The food is also tasty.

One of the greatest nights in a long time.

After getting our reservation canceled in a different Fado restaurant we showed up without a reservation. They kindly asked us to come back around 21:15 in case there was some cancellations.

Luckily, they managed to find us a table. After we sat down, we ordered a selection of cheeses and half a liter of the house white wine, they were absolutely delightful.

As main dishes we had the beef, and the tuna dishes. They both were great, they came with some home made fries. We loved them.

The fado show was fantastic, very powerful and emotional. I had goosebumps from the very start until it ended. Despite not fully understanding the lyrics I found myself having watery eyes during some pieces. It was just incredible.

The show was divided in three acts. During the first and second acts, a very charismatic female singer led the band. She had an incredible and skilled voice. She completely filled the room with the power of her voice and personality.

The second singer had an extraordinarily powerful voice. Her powerful voice was in par of many of the most important singers in history. Just great!

The band was also fantastic, they had great chemistry and performed every song with great love and skills.

I highly recommend you book a dinner, you won’t regret.

I will come back next time I visit Lisbon

We had the most entertaining night, the bar is local and the bar owner is super friendly, he even took shots with us! and the Fado singers and players were amazing. There are two sessions 7-9 and 9-12, I definitely recommend the 9-12 session. There were multiple Fado singers that took turns. We had to go back the next night because that Fado show was really the highlight of our stay in Lisbon. I definitely recommend this place if you visit Lisbon.
