ANSELMO 1910 - Chiado

This place is called “The Filigran Museum”.
And it’s a very tricky place.
They call it a “museum” because in the back of the jewllery store they’ve reacreated a room of old filigran mastery and of some machines they used to make filigran.
At the entrance a women will ask you if you want a tour of the museum, which is a bit akward having in mind that with one look you can see the whole space.
Now the trick is this: they say it’s a “museum” so they can ask for 3,4,5,6 times or even more for the jewllery that you could easilly buy from some small shops in other parts of the city.
Also they painted the outside walls in traditional motifs to attract clients, but the place is a complete scam. As the sellers.
Not to forget: the owner(the sellers said) is also the owner of Belcanto restaurant next door (the one with a Michelin star).
So be aware.
