Penta Café

We went here for lunch. It’s a cute little cafe with a super welcoming staff. They don’t have a physical menu, instead you choose your own sandwich toppings and length of the sandwich (10cm up to 1m). We went with a 50cm sandwich for about 28€.

We’d give the toasted sandwich with the fresh ingredients a 10/10.

It’s however important to note, that you have to pay with cash (an atm is around the corner).

Fantastic little coffee shop with toast sandwiches run by a very friendly staff. We got two large toasts which were both delicious. If you are looking for something a little different this place is amazing! The orange juice was also fresh and the coffees were great. You know it’s going to be good when the food is measured in CMs.

What a Great place. Cafe Americana was excellent, as was the Crème Croissant. More importantly, the husband and wife team were wonderful. Loved it!

Everything was delicious , incredible here and fresh ! We ordered an in sales large 40CM sandwich to take for a walk and was the best I’ve ever had ( special made by staff recommendation) the friendliest happy staff here and amazing service! Would recommend everyone to visit & will try to return again tomorrow !

We really enjoyed our sandwiches here. There is no menu, just point to ingredients and tell them in cm how big of a sandwich you want. Everyone was extremely welcoming and kind. We loved it and would recommend.

Super awesome service!!!! They made us feel so special and happy to have us and serve us! It all felt very nice a personal. This place is like a build your own sandwich type of deal, but also has a wide variety of pastries and I think even some breads. We got two sandwiches and they were so delicious! Highly recommend!! Thank you so much for making our first day great!

Great place for lunch and some rest in the city center. They offer sandwiches and cakes up to 1 meter, you need to choose the length. Personally we took 10 cm sandwich for 2 people. It was enough for lunch, but they recommend 10 cm for each. See the picture to understand the size.

Live this place. They mastered the art of making feel good comfort food. The process of making your own sandwich, which includes telling them exactly how large it should be, is very fun as well.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming, we struggled together through our language barrier and spread a great mood. The sandwich was absolutely amazing. You can get fresh juice as well.

Will be back.

Amazing food, great services and really friendly atmosphere. The portion sizes for the sandwiches are completely customisable giving you flexibility for sandwich choices.

Didn’t have chance to try the cakes but they looked freshly baked with great portion sizes

A nice little cafe with lots of desserts and also sandwiches.
The staff is really friendly and tries their best to speak English. Good and cheap prices for being in the middle of Lisbon. The cakes are incredibly delicious!

Humongous cakes of large varieties and the cakes have strong aromas. We ordered passion fruit cake, lemon cake and a coconut pie. Watermelon juice was huge. Everything was big and tasty and owners are very friendly. You need to pay by cash though

An absolute diamond of a find!
This place can make you a metre long Tosta mista!! That's right!! It's a "Tosta Metre".

The sandwich was really delicious, you can pick whatever flavour you want and they also server fresh juice. Along side this, you can also grab yourself a big slice of delicious cake.

The people that work there speak a few languages like Spanish and English so it's easy to make an order and they are all really lovely!

I would defo go again!!

We love this cake soooo much...what is sooooo tasty. Coconut lemon...the best of the best❤ But they take only cash!!! I wish I could buy more but mostly we don't use cash much in living now.

Was passing by and decided to try here for lunch. Was a bit confused as no menus and no prices anywhere. You pick what toastie length you want from a meter ruler and what items you would like inside via the glass cabinet. We picked 2 30inch toasties which were huge for around 7-8euro each depending on ingredients. We also had 2 orange juices which were freshly squeezed. The food was delicious and we ended up taking it back to the hotel as we couldn’t finish.

I would say they need to take more consideration for vegetarians as I think they use the same press machine, both sandwiches shared a board on the table and then boxed up vegetarian and meat together without asking.

Super amazing place to hang with your friends topped with delicious and enormous enormous sandwiches and cakes. This amazing experience is topped with the super kind and cheerful service by Ana Paula the owner. The blissfulness will never be forgotten and it’s for sure a great Lisbon experience to have

Excellent service, very friendly and great baristas. Good prices, great place to come for breakfast or if you fancy a 🍰 cake. Just need to have in mind they will give you big portion 👍🏻😁 love the coffee ☕

We found this place because we were looking for a nice Panini sandwich and we were so happy to have had a wonderful experience! The meal was outstanding, and we really enjoyed the family that owned this café!
For our family of five we ordered 3 different sandwiches (toasts) - 35 cm, 15 cm, and 15 cm; 4 bottles of beer, 3 bottles of water, and 3 pieces of cake which we took home. Total price was less than €51.00.
Excellent meal & wonderful hospitality!

We had the best toast filled with cheese, ham and tomatoes. From our 3 brunch experiences (we ate toast every time 🤣) this was the best one!

The interesting thing is that you order the toast in length. We ordered 20cm long and it was too much because it was so full of cheese 😋 I recommend the 15cm version for an average person 😊

On a busy street, but a gem. You order your toasted sandwich 🥪 by length !! Four of us had a 60 cms sandwich between us. Delicious too. Full of locals.
