A Peixaria

After a few days on the road, stopping in Sao Jacinto was the sea breeze we were looking for. And with that we were craving for sea food. This was a local recommendation that made our day! Fresh seafood and an amazingly grilled fish were our lunch, ending it with a staff recommendation of a spicy treat that was the perfect combo with the coffee. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the service was very fast. A great stop to have fresh seafood!

The food here is absolutely amazing. I was shocked at how delicious the food is here. It also was very affordable, 15€ per person for lunch. There is an open grill at the entrance that I'm sure keeps the place warm in the winter time. If you have already taken the ferry to sao Jacinto I recommend this place as the first stop.

One of the best family restaurants in Portugal! Everything is fresh and homemade. The service was exceeding my exceptions. A very big choice of fresh catched fish and wines. I was staying in Aveiro,but the 40-50 minute drive to them really worth it. Thank you again family and see you next year!

The grilled fish is simply amazing... Whatever you order is sure to fresh out of the sea, delicious and well grilled!!

Very good grilled fish! Can definitely recommend this place! They have a beautiful grill, you get to choose which fish you want, and they prepare it beautifully. Simple but great grilled food!

Excellent fish and great wine. Portions are quite big! It may be difficult to get a table, but it’s worth the wait. Nice staff as well. 10/10 definitely go and eat there if you get the chance.

Make sure to come before it opens or make a reservation to get a spot. Portions are big. Food was absolutely delicious! I’d recommend the grilled fish and squids. The clams and the side tomato rice were also our favorite. The waiters were very friendly.

We were 3 people and ate lunch, this is a very different type of restaurant, they will literally show you the whole fish and grill it for you. We enjoyed the food and we recommend this restaurant.

Excelent restaurant for grilled fish. One of the best grilled fish restaurants in Portugal. They do not take reservations so be there quite early. I urge you to take the recommendation of the chef based on the fresh fish of the day, you will not regret... Along the fish, squids are also a good choice. Try to have some fresh white wine too!

Wow oh wow. As we arrived to this restaurant by car didn’t know what to expect but instead it was a fantastic authentic fish restaurant. We ordered some of the best sea bass I’ve ever had. Seriously good value. Would definitely recommend to someone after a slice of authenticity. Tadar katli.

Came with my family for some fresh fish, and is defently the place. We ate a whole grilled dourada and some grilled squid. The food came Pretty fast and the service is spot on. If u r near Aveiro I highly recommend this restaurant.

We've been to this place a few times and tried a variety of fish and sea food on the menu. All have been delicious. It's best to book ahead.

We went to A Peixaria for my birthday and wasn't disappointed at all. The food was excellent and plentiful, I had chocolate mousse for dessert it was to die for. Service was excellent always checking to make sure everything is OK. As we live in Sao Jacinto certainly will be going back. The staff also helped us because our Portuguese is non existence.

Fresh grilled fish of perfect quality - simply accompanied by potatoes, fresh salad and a real good white wine - what else do you need?

Outstanding food but beyond that the service was amazing. All the people we dealt with were friendly and you could see they wanted their customers to be happy. Unfortunately this is a dying art in Portugal. Perhaps all public servants should learn what customer service really looks like.
