Great food, an amazing service and the environment was just right.

The appetizers were super, and although the wait for the “massada de garoupa” was bit more then I anticipated it was well worth the time.

The “medalhões de novinho” was heavenly.

The deserts…. They are must, especially the cookie cake with soft eggs, my goodness just amazing

Very good tiny restaurant in Costa Nova with fresh seafood and tasty. In comparison with the other places in the area, is a little bit expensive, but it worths to go to try their dishes.

I ate seafood rice which was good, but comparing with Seafood rice and paella from Spain, I would safe this dish for Spain if is in your trip plan.

The service was impeccable. Theatrical yet genuine. If that makes sense. I would say hands down the best service IN the Aveiro area. Everyone that came to our table from greeting, ordering, food presentation, & delivery all had such great service it felt like they had some kind of special training. The fish was fresh and grilled almost to perfection (i prefer a slightly more charred & chewy texture for my red snapper). However, my husband agreed the texture of the fish was quite consistent throughout the entire body of the fish. O and the cookie cake is fabulously naughty!

Amazing food - from time to time I crave for the "sames de bacalhau" or the raw, super fresh local fish (sashimi style). The location is good, with lots of parking around. The restaurant itself pays homage to the local scenery, and feels very cosy, both on the inside and outside. The staff is friendly and very professional. Feel free to ask for the chef to join you for a toast or to hear some stories about the food you're having. Lovely experience.

Great restaurant with great food. They have the traditional (eels) and a lot of other fish and seafood dishes. The fresh fish that can be cooked the way the customer wants and it is extremely good. The home dessert is a must have and the staff is nice and knowledgeable about the fish and food.

My wife and I ate here last weekend and it was beyond incredible. Excellent and friendly service. And the food, my god!

The steamed cockles (berbigão) were beyond perfection. They also make the most incredible fish soup with a base of tomatoes, peppers (and maybe carrots?). Just insane. My wife also had the pork which she also said was superb.

And finally, although it may sound stupid, Canastra do Fidalgo serves the greatest French fries of all time. That's no joke.

Everything was really fresh, and was really really good. Definitely a restaurant that you shouldn’t miss when you visit Costa Nova.

Great food and very nice waiters. We've ordered soups for starters, the fish soup is delicious. For main we took grilled fish and octoups, and i can easily say, it was best made octopus I ever ate in my life. Fish was also very good, fresh and delicate taste. The waiters are very helpfull and kind, they serve you like in 5 stars restaurants. Highly reccomended

anastra do Fidalgo! This gem in Costa Nova deserves every star. The freshness of the fish is unmatched, and their selection of desserts, especially the bolo de bolacha and chocolate cake, is simply divine. The service was impeccable, and what’s even better is that they’re dog-friendly outside. Can’t recommend this place enough if you’re in the area!

This is a Five star restaurant with a Five star service keenly priced. Beautiful well thought out interior, fantastic menu cooked to perfection. We had the sea bream, and as many other items from the menu as possible. Including the must haves: Fish Soup, and the desert Canastra’s Cookie Cake. Will definitely be back when in Aveiro. The owner Leandro and his partner truly take pride in this place and the enjoyment of their customers, i cannot fault it. It’s special.

Superb meal. Good food in a quiet place with view to the water. To end perfectly, and without a doubt, the best desserts I've ever tasted.

Excellent! Really fresh fish and tasty food with super service.

I felt like good quality, well prepared and tasty fish and i got it! Plus, the prawns had been cleaned (deveined) which is something not found often at Portuguese restaurants, and something which i find is standard practice.
The service was exceptional!

10 out of 5. This place is as by far the best I have visited in Portugal so far. We came twice because it was so good. The service was not only very friendly to everyone from family to foreign surfer, it was also extremely professional. The food was very good. Not only fresh (of course you have to eat seafood here) but also innovative: the young chef put some thought and much love in it. What we had were the clams, the octopus and the prawns, as well as the catch of the day. Don’t hesitate, just go and support this amazing team of young professionals.

Vacationing comes with certain expectations. Travelling, relaxing, site seeing and eating. This restaurant was a great place to eat. We had seafood rice on the mind and that's what we got. A large, old European mom style, pot full of delicious prawn, clams, shrimp and maybe a muscle or two. It was great. The rice well cooked, the broth worth dipping bread into and the seafood very fresh. The downside is mostly that it's a wee bit on the expensive side but that goes without saying as it's in a very touristy area but service was great and the food was soo good that I didn't even have room for dessert, which is saying a lot.
