Great, cozy location right next to the church (beware the bell 😬) I was there on a slow Saturday evening in late October. The staff was super friendly and helpful when it came to choosing from the tapas menu.
I loved my crispy chilly squid! Actually, I liked them so much that I didn't eat the pork chop which I had also ordered - instead I got another serving of the squid. Loved it.
Will be back next year with my wife!

Lovely place in the Algarve, next to the church. At night the church is nicely lit. The restaurant is nicely inside and outside with amazing views. But what is even better is the very friendly service and the delicious food. The prices are very low. We came two times to this place and we loved all the offered Tapas.

Typical portuguese restaurant, serving authentic tapas and some daily changing plates, friendly staff and great location (be aware of the church bell 😉)
Vegetarian and Vegan options for the fancy ones.

This is a hidden gem and well worth a visit, fresh beautifully cooked tapas and a warn welcome in a superb setting!

Top notch! Anything I can say will not do justice, you have to try the food at Janela da Serra for yourself to understand how great it is. We had a few dishes and couldn't find fault in any of them.. highly recommended place for food, ambience was amazing too, very rustic and authentic

Love this place so much. Beautiful surroundings lovely English speaking staff. Talented chef and beautiful homemade cakes mmmm! Tapas is fab. Reasonably priced too.

Came here last year. Excellent food and service. Will be back in March !! Just back after COVID and nice to see things have not changed !! Back again April 2023 - still as nice as ever!!

We had lovely lunchtime tapas here and were looked after by the friendly, helpful staff who speak excellent English. Great value too. Highly recommended.

Staff very welcoming. Great food, good ambiance, an ideal find at the top of the hill. Didn't want to leave.
