Terra Nova by Populi

Came here with a party of 8 on Christmas night. Thankful they were open. It’s a good place to wine and dine followed by sightseeing or Christmas lights outside. I had the fries with the broken egg which was yummy as a side.

Simply Delicious ”codfish a bras traditional”. The waitress was very professional and explained all the dishes very well, including the origin, history, and ingredients. Top!!

I've traveled solo many times, but one time of the year I avoided had always been during the New Year, as it can get crowded and just overwhelming everywhere you go. I decided to go to Lisbon just to try it out and found this restaurant that was offering a NYE dinner set. Joana was very informative and helped me with the process of booking every step of the way. I arrived to find a nice organized table just for me. The staffs and owner of the restaurant were amazing and lovely and just absolutely the sweetest people. I couldn't be more grateful to have such people around me while welcoming in the New Year. The food was great and the unlimited wine that was going around was obviously the best too and the live music, LOVE. I absolutely would love to visit again and just want to say a big thank you for the great night you all had shown me!

Amazing food! We took 3 different dishes and the 3 of them were extremely delicious. The flavors are well balanced ! I défini recommend it.
And if you have some time, discuss with the owner, he is a very interesting and humble person.

We dined at Populi twice during our four-day stay in Lisbon. We had a quick lunch upon arriving and checking into the Pousada de Lisboa nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, great view of the river and the Praça do Comércio. We had a glass of wine and the cod trio plate and the chicken Caesar salad. Both were fresh and well prepared. We don’t usually dine twice at the same place when traveling but the next day was a busy one. When we returned to the hotel we didn’t feel like a big meal, so we headed over to Populi for dinner and enjoyed some delicious braised cod along with some cool jazz from a trio of musicians playing nearby. A lovely evening.

Great experience on a beautiful day. So attentive! Delightful food and fun ambiance. My 4th time here :)

The service was great... As well as our server (Lucas I think) was genuinely a kind soul, and pretty entertaining. Enjoyed everything from the music (Coldplay) to the beautiful surrounding atmosphere of of the town, as well as the water front

The ambiance,service,food was amazing not cheap but worth it,must have their bread and the 3 different butters amazing.we bought pasta a bit oily but the flavors and the prawns we not skimpy.I'd definitely recommend this place

The food was delicious. The plates looked beautiful. Lisbon is a great place to visit and eat. We were all very happy. The location is perfect.

Fantastic restaurant with incredibly good food. It can be quiet inside at times and recommend sitting outside if possible. The food is incredible value for money and I can personally recommend the veal. Cocktails were 5 euros each when we were there and they were made with a lot of care.

We went to Populi on the advice of our hotel and we weren’t disappointed! Given the very nice location, near the Tage, we were afraid to discover a tourist trap, but not all: this place is a very good restaurant. We liked it that much we went back twice after our first dinner, once for a meal, once for cocktails, a couple hours before the end of our Portuguese holidays. The staff is very attentive and very friendly. All the waiters we met the first time recognized us and warmly welcomed us back. The food is delicious, so are the cocktails, besides being cheap if you come for the happy hour. They have tasty vegetarian options (I personally recommend the Populi salad and the vegetarian hamburger). The location is perfect on a sunny day (the terrasse is the closest to the river).

Good punchin house drink Populi and Mojito for a quality price and friendly service even though we had stupid questions. Super central! Cinnamon flavours

Perfect location, staff really pleasant, plates perfect and really nice presentations, food is really good and prices really reasonable. One of the best restaurants I have tried in Lisbon.

Tried this place and was unsure given the mixed reviews. We were not disappointed. This meal was the best food we've had whilst in Portugal and we finished it off with a a nice glass of local port wine. The service can be a little slow but that's just how things are done in Portugal. If you're in Lisbon and are looking for somewhere which caters more for traditional customs and food then thus is a great place to go.

Did not eat but enjoyed cocktails at happy hour prices for 5 euro per cocktail. They were good and the place is nice to sit, relax and view the square or the water.

Cataplana is good. Fresh juicy shrimps! Good services. Good place.

Just had bottle of wine. Perfect place and view for that 😀
