Very good place to eat. I recommend

Extremely delicious food! We had a fish and seafood stew, a portion for two people. It was more than enough! We had to wait a bit long for a waiter but it was definitely worth it!

This place had delicious shareable entree options and we tried the shepherd's pie and the duck rice after some vegetable soup as an appetizer. Both meals were delicious and honestly each large enough to share with two. The service was outstanding and they were very helpful in English.

They had great local Portuguese food. The place was super clean and worth checking out. They also take card which was great.

Traditional food in a welcoming, unpretentious atmosphere. Good value, friendly staff. Most of the diners were locals, with a smattering of tourists. A great spot for lunch during our stop in Tomar. It's about a 10 minute walk from the castle.

If youre looking for a place to have a taste of typical portuguese food, this is the place! I know this place for 20 years and every single time i return here i love it more and more. Its by far the best restaurant in Tomar. First, the menu includes tons of different typical portuguese dishes and every single one is served in great quantity. The flavour of the dishes are just like granny s and couldnt be more delicous! To make things better, the environment is realy warming and the decoration is based on Tomar history. The staff is realy thoughtful and just want to serve you the best experience possible. The cherry on top of the cake is the moment you see the bill and yoi notice its an incridibly cheap price for the quality of everything

Good food, good service, good value. The type of place that aims for and gets repeat business. We had two tasty fish dishes, which we enjoyed sharing, and two good desserts, happy with everything. A telly on a wall was showing soundlessly a Champions League brilliant game between Real Madrid and Chelsea, entertaining staff and diners.

We have been here many times. A great family run restaurant, well rated by locals and tourists. Good tasty, wholesome food, very generous portions, good service and all at very sensible prices. A really good choice for visitors to the town as the menu is easily accessible for foreign tourists while still retaining a full Portuguese flavor. Great value for money and a legendary welcome.

I was a bit hesitant when I saw the menu in three languages on the door because usually the restaurants that advertise in multiple languages on main shopping streets are tourist traps with mediocre food. I am happy to say O Tabuleiro is not that kind of restaurant!!!

We ordered two half dose dishes - arroz de peixe and bochechas estufadas. The bochechas came with rice and potatos from the oven. The food was very tasty and more than enough for the two of us! The arroz de peixe is a soupy rice dish made with fish and seafood broth, served with delectable chunks of perca (perch), mussels, shrimps and clams. There are big pieces of the perch which are soft, flavorful, fresh and meaty. Then there is a small piece of perch which is the fatty melt in your mouth belly meat. Very delicious! The bochechas estufadas is pork cheeks, very flavorful and tender. Well complemented with orange slices and the perfect potatos. We also had a flan that was perfectly eggy, smooth and drenched in dark caramel.

Waiters are quick and attentive. Very good meal Walked off the meal in the park by the river nearby.

We had a very good meal with lamb, rice, salad and olives and a fresh Vinho Verde. Absolutely tasty and well priced. Very friendly staff, speaking English and French. We enjoyed the place and the food. On Saturdays and Sundays a reservation appears to be recommended.

Wow. Stopped for lunch today. Nice restaurant, great food and super value. Will definitely be coming back. One of the best places to eat in town.

Once again I forgot to call and ask for a reserve. And after a while I was seated and eating, Novilha stew with rice and chips.

We took our friends to enjoy a Portuguese meal. Its was very good and they e joyed the lamb stew with rice , pork in strogganoft sauce, puddim ovos, great wine. The staff are always so helpful and friendly there.

Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. The food is traditional Portuguese and very good.
Because it's the best restaurant in Tomar it gets very busy at peak times so you may have to wait for a table, but the wait will be worth it.

The spawn and did rice is very delicious. My dessert us a very sweet and fresh slice if big pineapple. And comes a dessert wine after the meal as a treat. One of my favorite restaurant in Portugal.

Everything you would wish for in authentic Portuguese food. Pork ribs, seafood stew and veal - all good with a nice Douro red wine.
