Looking for southern style BBQ? In Portugal? Yeah, this is it. If your missing the comforts of back home in the states and want just something different than the typical Portuguese cuisine then go here. The drinks are cold, the service is prompt and efficient and the ribs are (dare I say) just like back home. We had the potato and bacon soup, and it’s amazing on its own. Add some ribs and fries and you’ll be a happy dude or dudette. Not that Portuguese cuisine is bad but sometime you may want to switch it up a bit. If that’s you then come here, kick back, order some cold drinks and prepare to get your hands a little dirty because O’ it is finger licking good. Love it!

This place is a hidden gem! They’re serving the best bbq in the Aveiro district. We loved all of their menu items and appreciated the Canadian decor throughout the restaurant.

Nice and modern decor, good options on the menu, matching the good food they bring to the table. Overall, a good place for a different meal.

I tried everything on the menu. My absolute favourite was the Beef Brisket. Ribs, wings, are amazing. The fried chicken sandwich is the best in town! The owners were the nicest people around. Staff was phenomenal! The bar was so clean. I went there from Canada and all the locals in the bar were all so welcoming. Played darts, got sung to. All around best experience. A must see!

The food is good & prices are great too!!! The guys are super friendly and the food is good! The fries were PROPER CHIPS (for the Brits). The portions are great too. I love everything they do here!

I think I like their burgers the best even though everything else is great. They have the BEST burgers in this region.

The m&c was exactly how I like it. Not too salty w/ chives & fresh onion on top for a fresh kick. You MUST order the crispy chicken (5peices). So delish!

Great little restaurant with modern interior design. You can come to hang out and play darts. Good choice of food and the price are reasonable. Very friendly service and they speak English.

We absolutely enjoyed the food at this place! We ordered the pulled pork fries, parmesan garlic fries, the chicken strips and the Bacon Burger, and all of them were incredibly delicious. We will definitely return to this place whenever we are in the area.

Had the most amazing supreme brisket Sandwich! The cut of the meat was so good and the sauce was to die for.
Definitely recommend getting the ribs as well! You can taste the saucy smokiness. So good!

Amazing burger super delicious

Every menu item is good here, the ambience is amazing and everyone is very nice. All around a great place to go alone or with friends. No need to say much more, really. The experience is amazing and i recommend to anyone that might want to come here.

My husband is from South Carolina. He loved the BBQ spareribs - as good as any he ate in the states. The nachos with beef brisket were delicious and plenty for sharing. Service was friendly and outstanding. We will definitely make this place a habit to return to when we visit the beach on future trips!

Looking for different flavour? Smokehouse Bar-BQ has the best ribs, chicken wings, burgers etc. on the West Coast. Family oriented, open when other restaurant aren't, food prepared daily from scratch. Super friendly staff!!!

As an American living in Portugal I'm so thankful for this place! The hot wings are done properly unlike all the other places in Aveiro offering them... And so many other delicious items on the menu, not to be missed! The staff are so friendly and they are open all day so we can actually go out for dinner here at 6pm with a toddler unlike every other restaurant in Portugal. 😅 I'm so Thankful these lovely Canadians have opened this place!

Literally the best pulled pork nachos I’ve ever had, the staff are so kind and caring. Great experience I would definitely recommend eating here the service is very fast and polite. Especially if you want Canadian bbq food, a place to visit if you’re local or from out of town!

Whenever we visit family close by we always come for dinner.
Nice to eat something different in Portugal. Although I do feel the dishes need a tad bit more seasoning (salt and heat).
