Casa Velha

The restaurant is very popular. The leg of porco is very good. Honestly it looks and tastes pretty much like cusine from North China so aí decided to bring my daughter to try this fish. We could not because the second time we were there was Sunday lunch hour and there were a pretty long queue. Not many restaurants are open on Sunday and reservation is not possible on Sunday. By the way, the service there is good too. I ordered hot tea and was even provided a refill of hot water at my request. Here are some pictures my friend took of the dishes. The pig leg is good indeed.

Typical and great quality food. No critic points to add whatsoever.
Meet was perfectly done, side dishes really good. Vegetables where really nice and crisp- which is difficult to find in Portugal- for some reason cooks tend to ouvercook veggies here.
Perfect red Alentejo wine suggestion.
Quiet ambiance and good/ descreet table service.
Could only suggestto refresh interior to less heavy-ish design.
Otherwise I totally enjoyed and recommend Casa Velha

Family-style restaurant with high quality regional dishes. If you are in the area, this is definitely the best option, regardless of what tripadvisor tells you!
