Highly recommended! Fresh local food, very friendly english speaking service. By chance we dropped in and had a great evening in Bica Velha. We will come back. By the way Loulé is great...,-)

The octopus salad was incredible! The Mediterranean couscous salad and the tomato salad were great too! The chef was kind enough to prepare a new vegan dish for my partner with mushrooms which she greatly enjoyed - we also tried the couvet with the homemade hummus and the sour fruit Algarve Rock beer - very much enjoyed it! The potatoes could've been a bit crispier, but still good! The atmosphere is nice, but they don't have AC so it could get hot inside! Highly recommended to come here and taste some local small dishes!

Amazing and authentic place to eat. They got a different menu every day and the food is amazing! Don't expect more than 15 things to chose from but that's part of the charm and every single thing is worth trying. Very friendly and helpful staff. It could be wise to make a reservation or show up early, it's not a large restaurant.

Whao this place is just exceptional. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. My favorite meal was the fried mushrooms. Very simple but incredibly tasty. The raspberry spritz was also very tasty, just be aware it’s a very big glass so make sure not to drive afterwards haha. Loved it. Will come back for sure

Great concept of food, to share several dishes between people. Very friendly staff. They ran out of ingredients for one dish but exchange it for something else which was very nice. Super fresh ingredients and high quality. Also decently priced

One of the most incredible dining experiences I’ve ever had. Menu was small, yet so well done. Some of the best food I’ve ever had at such a reasonable price. Highly recommend to anyone!

Good food, good place, good background music. We loved it! Found the place via google, while we were close by and we liked the look of the venue because of the arched wine cellar style. The kindest host greeted us. The menu is not lengthy but the food excuisite.

Really good atmosphere, not pushy at all, happy to commemorate on certain dishes, always in for a laugh, magnificent food, a lot of wine choices, smooth background music, fresh ingredients. It’s in the small things, like having an olive oil option with a little mint flavour (daring but really tasteful, humus (free) appetizer with almonds for a bit of crunch), to even having deodorant and hair gel in the men’s toilet room. Hat’s of to the two people who were running bica velha tonight (1 serving and one making food).

Amazing Tapas with a daily changing menu based on regional and seasonal availability of products. Super friendly people and great ambiente too. Prices are very fair.

Very nice experience. Wonderful flavours. Incredible service with may suggestions and recommendations and a list of things to do and visit around the Algarve region.

Latte was too warm (not just hot to the touch) and the Microgaming could be improved.

The toilet had no soap.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Service and hospitality from Sebastian was incredible. He knows his regional wines, gave us guidance on the food and suggested wine pairings that were delicious. I would highly recommend dining here! Bonus points for solid Spotify playlist to follow.

12/10 experience. A tapas style restaurant with locally inspired dishes. We had several - sardine escabeche, black pig sausage, baby sardine ceviche, the carob almond cake. EVERYTHING tasted amazing, even the simple bread and olive oil were great. Service was welcoming, guiding, friendly. It used to be a stable, now a cozy tavern that invites you to a social experience while enjoying amazing food - perfect for an outing with friends. Will recommend to any friends visiting Loule.

Very nice place. Le Chef is super explanatory with regards to the local food they are offering. Good wines, small choice and exquisite.
