Bocage

Found this lovely restaurant down a side street and very glad we did. Food was fresh and tasty and we were served bread, butter and pate with olives and carrots to start. With the mains, we had a side salad and chips to share. Very good prices and staff were welcoming and kind!

The food here was so amazing. Tasty and delicious. We had the grilled salmon, montanheira salad, medium salad and veal liver.
The service was a bit slow and I was really hungry so I took a star however they were friendly and I think it was a bit full on the inside of the restaurant
I recommend this place!

I had the grilled cuttlefish, with salad and for dessert the sin of Bocage ... everything was excellent !! Recommended !

What can i say...For me one of the best dishes for this year.

We had an excellent lunch here. Everything tasted fresh and was very authentic. Even the house wine (we had white) was very good. Everything was priced fairly. They do not take credit card so make sure you bring money.

Most amazing food we had in Portugal! Stumbled upon this town looking for pottery, and found this restaurant with incredible seafood!! Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.

My second visit here and although on this occasion I was eating alone, there was no awkwardness. Food was excellent, I had olives and sardine paté followed by Portuguese steak (a quality sirloin cooked medium rare as I'd asked, topped with a slice of bacon and a fried egg, served with crispy sauté potatoes. Finished with crême caramel and coffee with a local liqueur. Excellent value, excellent friendly service.

The atmosphere is very cosy and welcoming. As a starter, we had their freshly made gazpacho, which was definitely refreshing as it was a hot day, then we had the very popular fried cow liver with caramelised onion, it is a must have, all this with a jug of wine and water of course
And finally, we had dessert, homemade,

A fabulous find. Uncomplicated Portuguese dishes but prepared with the tastiest, freshest local ingredients and cooked to perfection. Good portion size, and reasonable prices. Seems as though it is advisable to book in advance as we watched groups of 6, 4 and 2 x 2 leave disappointed because the restaurant was already full by 7.00!

Very nice small scale restaurant close to the Loulé Market. The food was amazing with various local fish and meat dishes for an affordable and reasonable price. Whether it be grilled or fried, we were all very happy with the way the fish were made and tasted. We didn't get to try any meat dishes, but from what we saw they also looked very good.

The staff was very busy but the waiting times were, considering the situation, very good. The atmosphere is very cozy with a bit of a historical hint from old paintings of architecture on the wall.

If you want something local and don't care about the fancies some other establishments provide, this place is definetely recommendable with its amazing food, close proximity to the main attractions in Loulé, and reasonable pricing.

Really nice quality restaurant with super friendly staff. Worth getting there early as they do get busy. The Portuguese beef was great as was the pepper steak, please make space though for the chocolate though!

We went here for dinner for my dad’s birthday and it was so enjoyable. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, we had garlic prawns and grilled cuttlefish, veal, sole, steak and it was all 10/10!
Will definitely be back if I’m ever in the area again. Make sure you give this place a visit.
