Lovely local restaurant with delicious food. You must try the chicken kebab with prawns. Also, it's great value compared to other restaurants around the area. Highly recommend it.

Just so glad we found this Portuguese restaurant at the start of our holiday.
It was so good that we returned on another two occasions.
The food was excellent particularly the different meat dishes which were tried over the three nights.
The salads were very good and suitable for vegetarians.
The bread served as starters was accompanied by dips - the tuna dip was the best!
Accompanied the meals with a local Rose which was excellent.
A visit not to be missed.

I recommend the black pork quebab, and the white wine "vale Parra" locally produced. Enjoy!

Another great meal, lovely atmosphere and good, polite service. Love this place and always eat here a few times when we come for a break.
Also recommend the chicken with pineapple as well as the kebabs, so fresh!

Best peri peri chicken and homemade desserts I have ever had. Great service and very authentic. I will be back for sure. Make sure you have the cheese to start and the peri chicken. If you like it spicy ask for the peri oil.

I had a grilled borrego it was fantastic. Best restaurant in the region. If you come around Praia da galé it worth the stop at Por do Sol and enjoy a fantastic lunch or dinner.

Pôr do Sol has a short menu with mainly grilled food. Healthy and nice side orders. Tables are inside and outside. The owner and team offer real hospitality. The dishes are excellent and realy value for money. The wine menu is almost better than the food menu. The chicken piri piri and T-bonesteak are our favorites. Well recommended, close to Hapimag and Galé.

A treasure of a find! We hadn’t booked and the restaurant accommodated the six of us. Food was amazing - the shrimp starter and peri peri chicken were very well received, and the desserts are stunning, chocolate mousse highly recommended. Best meal of our holiday!

The food is amazing. I'm so glad we went into this place. The chicken peri style was really tasty. Husband enjoyed the prawns. The desserts were homemade and several to choose from, we had cheesecake and banoffee pie. Definitely recommend

We had two visits for lunch during our holiday. Food was lovely- children loved their burgers too. The pool is deep but really close to the seating area so the kids could be kept an eye on whilst we had a drink.
Deserts were out of this world!

We came on a cold night and it was extremely chilly in the restaurant... Thankfully the food was amazing and totally worth braving the cold. Shame they couldn't close the doors though! We ordered a single dish each and the sides that came with it were amazing, especially the Brazilian rice, beans and toppings... So tasty.

always excellent and constant in quality of the food and service; very open minded for serving children: they treat them like real guests; wide terrace so that children can move around the nice pool; Portuguese cuisine without its problems: here they master low salt and low sugar without sacrificing taste; nice parking; charming and attentive service of the owners and the personnel (they should get a sixth star for that)

Lovely meal with fresh ingredients, and friendly staff. Recommend the patio by the pool for outdoor dining.

For some reason the menu and outside didn’t entice us the first time we browsed here. We returned again and gave it a go and we’re so glad we did. Grilled chicken is their star dish and I would recommend. Although to be fair all their options looked good on the plate. A rare case of first impressions not being accurate.

Really good grill food which comes with chips and a salad. Good options for meat, fish and vegetarian. Great sangria! Caters well to children.
