Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima

Church of Our Lady the Rosary of Fatima in Lisbon was consecrated in 1938. It's a mixture of modern and traditional architecture. Inside are mosaics and colorful stained glass windows. Especially the stained windows behind the choir are quite impressive, with depictions of saints and angels. The church is still in use as such, but respectful visitors are welcomed. There is no charge. Also, at times, there are free concerts in the church.

A modern church compared to most Portuguese churches, it was completed in the mid-nineteen thirties. Nonetheless it's very beautiful. I prefer the proper candles over Led ones but it's the thought and prayer that counts. Nice strained glass windows.

Lovely church and the choir were absolutely amazing and there were only 4/5 members singing a cappella worth going just to listen to them at 10.30 mass on Sunday.

Unbelievably beautiful church, despite it being of the brutalist era of architecture. Entirely legible church although modern with amazing stations, lovely altar, beautiful hand carved nativity scene. Became our spiritual home away from home during our WYD Lisbon 2023 stay.

Visiting Fatima was a once in a lifetime experience. I’m so happy my group found a day in our WYD schedule to go in visit and explore the area. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Portugal to go and see Our Lady of Fatima.

Beautiful art deco inspired Church was the first Catholic Church to be built in Lisbon after the implantation of the Republic. It was built in the 1930's and has been one of the most important parishes in Lisbon ever since. The stained glass behind the altar are from Almada Negreiros and there were many other artists from the period involved in the project. Wonderfull place.

This church is very beautiful! It's interior is very nice to see and you can go to the mass there. It's a catholic church! The priest is a very kind man and you can put your children in the scouts here.

One of the best examples or modern religious architecture and art in Portugal. The church was decorated, painted by the great portuguese artist Alamada Negreiro, that actually was born in São Tomé. Pay attention to the baptismal chapel, very nice.

One of the icon places in Lisbon that is ready to welcome you whenever you will be looking for a quiet place to meditate 🤔 and/or pray 🙏🏽.
