This was a really nice surprise, there was much more to see and do than we expected and it was one of the favourite things we visited over our weekend in Toruń!

At first glance it might look like just boring ruins but once you enter the dungeons or walk the passage to the tower you start feeling the medieval vibe of the place.

The 'Ruins' as it is called. It's a must visit if you go to Torun. You can see the historical artefacts and the ruins of the fortress. There are dungeons beneath which bring the history to life. In the underground they have a TV show explaining about the history of the knights and the place.
You have to buy a ticket here ~9zl each
There's a WC available too.

Great place but someone should rewrite all the info boards as are grammatically incorrect.
For the city famous for its education and universities English should be a basic requirement. Please employ an English translator.

I arrived thinking I would be walking over the crumbling ruins of a 14th century Teutonic castle and maddened by endless pages of feudal history. To my shock and amazement, I found Medieval Times so I locked my friend in the stockade and enjoyed the haunted house.

I wonderful castle. I always thought bricks was the most ugly thing you could use to build something. But this castle proved me wrong. It is so nice, and the defence of this is over anything I ever thought they could achieve at that time. By far one of top 5 castle in the world

Totally a worthy decision to pay a visit here. Tickets are 10 PLN only. There are a lot of things to see about the castle. The weapons, the structures of dodging strategy by attackers, and a fantastic view from the top of the castle. You can visit a room where the dangerous items are stored which have been used to punish people. Overall, a 1.5 hours journey for the castle. Very nice.

A family ticket is only 25 PLN. The place is charming and thought provoking. There is an impressive collection od masks of shame (one description contains a mistake on English, though: it it should be LIAR nor LAYER). It is do symbolic that the castle Has never been totally rebuilt - it was destroyed by citizens of Toruń so that they could be free from any superiors, whose entertainment was mostly torturing people.
