The FAST-National University of Computer and Emerging Science (FAST-NU) holds the honor of being Pakistan’s first multi-campus University chartered by the Federal Government in the private sector. Federal Government established the University on July 1, 2000. The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is the Patron of the University. The graduates of FAST-NU are valued much desirably in national and multinational organizations. Foundation for Advancement of Science & Technology was established in 1980 as a private national institution, by Justice Akhlaque Hussain, a jurist with a vision and Mr. Agha Hassan Abedi, a philanthropist with funds. Later on, Dr. Mahboob-ul-Haq a scholar with the know-how for implementation and establishment of an International level university.
