Dehli Gate

A good historical place. But there is no proper parking space. I park my Bike far away and they charge me 50 rupees for bike parking and also no proper parking.

Visited this place on Sunday November 19, 2023.

We were pleasantly surprised the upgrade work carried out in and around Delhi Gate Lahore.

Place looks clean and well maintained. Shahi Hammam is just at the entrance of the gate.

All narrow streets kept clean. Lots of local and few foreigners tourists seen around which is good sign.

I highly recommend visit to this place if you’re in Lahore.

Its a heritage... Historical places has to be 5 star. You must visit atleast your own city's walled city side. We should know how it all started. I have interest in history. After living in pardes, i realised that I should see my city's this side as well. It's amazing. Please guys you must go. Whether you are living here or visiting.Its whole different world. Very good place. It is 1 of the 12 gates of old lahore. The shahi guzargah starts from here which takes you to Wazir Khan Masjid. The shahi hamam is also close to the gate. The newly renovated Gali Surjan Singh is also approachable from this gate. You cannot take your car inside from this gate. You will have to travel on foot.

One of the most historic place to visit in Lahore. The market is good, prices are decent in the market. You can find so many options for quick snacks.

I visited the Delhi Gate yesterday ! I have got semester break so me and my friends decided to go there and just explore that place .That was so amazing ,the texture ,those streets and the architect designs of buildings was so lit.Just amazing .But there was a huge issue face there, we were not getting the permission of using the camera here it was shocking as well coz we could use mobile phones but not the dslr camera that does not make sense to me . Although we put our camera back and started visiting again .The people of there was acting like someone else i wasn't happy with their behaviour.

The gate was once part of Lahore's city walls, which were torn down by the British after, The gate itself was also destroyed by the British, but was reconstructed in the 19th century under the British Raj. Following the Partition of British India.

It was a wonderful guided tour under the guidance of guide Fatima by Walled city Lahore Authority. She explained things professionally and narrated in a very interesting manner.

Delhi gate is historical place in Lahore and it is must visit place to see the mughals passion about architecture, in Delhi gate there is Azam cloth market from where you can buy clothes at reasonable price stuff is good and you have to bargain for it.
