In central Lahore is the huge Badshahi mosque. It’s a perfect example of Mughal architecture and remarkable in so many ways. Built in 1637, this was the biggest mosque in the world for more than 300 years and can accommodate 100,000 people at the same time.

It's a beautiful building, currently undergoing restoration in some places.
There is a museum with artefacts attributed to the Prophet Muhammad, as well as a hand embroidered Quran in gold and silver.
The building dates back to the Mughal Empire with intricate architecture and history. The Mosque opens onto a courtyard with access to the Lahore Fort as well as the grave of Allama Iqbal.

Very busy, watch out for pick pocketeers, female should not visit alone as it ain't safe. Family/group visit is recommended. Great historical value

Shoes holding charge 350 per bucket. Artefact watching ask for donations. Masjid floor has dirt as it’s open. Masjid itself is beautiful. Inside praying area is damaged. Wall decor and art is mostly intact

Badshahi masjid is one of the famous, big & beautiful masjid is located in Lahore, opposite of the Lahore fort Punjab Pakistan. It's situated very beautiful location and a 2nd largest masjid in Pakistan with space of 100 thousand people for offering prayers. The badshahi masjid was built in 1673 by the sixth mughal emperor Aurangzeb son of the Shah jehan. Amazing architecture and brick work were very nice. It's very old masjid and a historical landmark. Many Muslims couples attend nikkah ceremony, and many non Muslim accept islam in this masjid. Badshahi masjid is very popular of his historical significance and architectural design and many visitors come from around the world.

You can visit this place free of cost no need to buy any ticket, this place is of great heritage and represent our ancestors great architecture.
