Balai Brunch by Cafeplus Coffee

The place was exactly what it advertised to be. The ambiance was great and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. They even found a way for us to pay partly through Gcash and the other was cash as they didn't have change for 1000php.

Great place to dine, chill or hangout with friends. Will definitely come back for the salmon and farooj chicken.

Can't show it clearly on the star rating, but I'll rate our first experience here in this cafe at 4.6 rating to be accurate.

For such a long time passing on this street and seeing the signage of this cafe wondering what this looks like, finally, God led us here.
We had a good experience and a private talk at their deck area, just the two of us together with their resident cats 🐱🐈‍⬛🐈
It was just the right ambience, a required atmosphere for a thumbs up from us.
Their sandwiches and coffee was good.
A commendable service from their staffs, - approachable & they serve you water together with your order, a very generous way of serving. 👍👍

An old house turned into a beautiful cafe, that's why it's called balai.

Because of its accessible location & a good ambience, I would see my self and my partner coming back.
I would recommend this one, and I'm sure that it won't let you down. 💯

Creamy pesto was really tasty. What I like about this place is how “home-y” it feels. The name “balai” cafe is truly what I felt when I came here. Service was good, food was served really fast. Definitely would recommend to visit here in night time :))

First time eating here. The restaurant has a very nice location with a pleasing interior and outdoor seating.

We ordered their bacon alfredo and kebab. Also had coffee and matcha latte. Pasta and coffee were meh butttt the kebab was AMAZING ✨✨✨ I will come back for their chicken and more kebab.

Update: Farooj chicken was sooo tender and not dry. All their sauces are amazing 😋

Outdoor ambiance gives one the “having brunch at my friend’s house” kind of nostalgia. Tried various dishes and drinks from their menu and every dish was scrumptious!

Their indoor setting gives a different mood, and may seem to be at a different place

The coffee was good. I was expecting a little more flavor for their adobo dish. But still 5 stars since the service and the atmosphere was nice.

Offers sublime beauty of nature, good food and great customer care. Also, saw stray cats everywhere in the cafe's vicinity! Love an animal friendly businesses! 😍

Love the ambience, family and kid friendly too, you can bring along your pets, they have adequate tables and seats outside too.

You have to bear in mind that there’s no designated parking area so you are left to park vehicle somewhere.

There is a ramp for wheelchair at the main entrance.

Can say it’s a casual semi-upscale place. You can work here as there’s a fully air conditioned place.

Food is mildly priced, but tolerable. The staff is accommodating.

There are ample power outlets for your devices.

Love their cookies the vanilla ones are delightful not too sweet. Salads are good. The pancakes are superb. They do offer healthy options.

You have to be careful with the restroom, the floor isn’t level with the the toilet area’s flooring, first timers here might slip, so take note of that.

Their charcoal chicken is definitely a must try. I love the variety of sauces and flavours that explodes in your mouth. 😋😋😋

Great food I especially love the Turkish kebab and Ice Coffee drink. The chicken dish was also nice along with the diffirent suacr on offer!

Food is very good. Although I was not a fan of the bestseller Farooj chicken, but maybe it was just me. Loved the salmon. There is a breakfast menu complete with pancakes and waffles. There is a complete coffee menu. But for people looking to do 'study out', it's more of a family restaurant. 🤗

I highly recommend their charcoal chicken. Get it whole so you get to enjoy all 4 sauces. I also enjoyed the Greek salad and Shawarma wrap. The ambiance is very homey. They have al fresco dining area and parking space.

I love the place and the food! Their roasted chicken is a must try 💓The spicy garlice and garlic sauces are perfect to go with it. Their staffs are all warm and accomodating.

This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Cebu.

I always come here for the chicken. Food is good and the place looks beautiful. The farooj chicken is one of the best in the city and if you come on a Tuesday, you can have the all you can eat promo for around $5. It’s so worth it if you are a big chicken person.

To be honest, I didn't expect that their food would be so good. I knew the ambiance will be great as what I have heard from other people, but I was surprised they had good recipes on their menu. Their Farooj plate was superb, as well as the beef burger steak. I wouldn't even consider the food expensive because of the satisfaction you get after eating. The juice was a bit pricey though, it was more than Php150 and you could get that kind of juice for just Php50 in other food places. It might be best to just get service water if you're on a budget.

Balai means home and that's what you get coz the ambiance is very homey. The food is delicious esp. farooj chicken which is their specialty. Since the place opens early (6am), you can order their Balai Plate which is perfect for breakfast. It has spam sticks, bacon, hungarian sausage, egg, garlic rice and cherry tomatoes.
