Small things to me, matter the most talaga. There was a side table so I can charge my phone near the bed. There was a bidet, and the water pressure is really nice. There's Netflix! The food is GREAT. Special mentions: gising gising and the organic native lechon.

The staff were so attentive. It's our 2nd time in Kahariam Farms and it's always a great time there. 10 out of 10 will recommend. ❤💙💜💛💚

A Restful Hidden Sanctuary
I’ve been to Kahariam several years ago and I’ve seen its tremendous growth when I visited last March 2019. From a private to-go-to-getaway where you can eat organic, pesticide-free and antibiotic-free food, I love the idea of them opening it to the public where the farm can further share their advocacy and educate people to eat clean, manage waste properly and help the community by providing livelihood.
I love worms, haha, so it is no surprise that my favorite part of the farm is “Ernie’s Work Station!” It is an African Night Crawler (ANC), a variety of worm that they use in their vermicompost all over the farm. It’s one of the heroes of their farm, they say, because this Earth mover works really hard 24/7 to produce their major product, the organic fertilizer called Vermicast (aka worm poo) which conditions the soil and make it fertile. I’ve learned that applying it to the soil makes it malleable and in effect, helps the roots of the crops breathe and grow easier. I was like freaked out when I saw their 15-inch okra and more than half a yardstick long aloevera, I feel like I’m in Alice in Wonderland hahaha. I saw the difference when you really apply Vermicast. The plants looked so healthy and happy. And most of all, it reduces our biodegradable waste which is very helpful to our environment.
Another highlight of the farm is their staff. They are just among the most approachable and warm people I’ve ever met! They serve traditionally cooked Filipino (mostly) comfort food like native pork adobo, gising-gising, sinaing na tulingan, and organic native lechon!!!!! A great farm-to-table-experience! I am not much of a coffee drinker because I am not fond of the bitter/ sour aftertaste, but I got converted when I had a taste of their local barako coffee! They now have more facilities to accommodate different clientele for activities such as teambuilding, retreats, camps and trainings. They have swimming pools and function halls (AC and non AC) per area and the rooms (especially in Mangosteen area) are stylish and uber clean with cable TV, fresh linens and handmade soap. It’s a steal for P1,800 for an overnight accommodation with free use (yes FREE!) of all their facilities and with all meals included (Breakfast, AM Snack, Lunch, PM Snack and Dinner). Most hotels that I’ve been to just offer a free breakfast with almost the similar rate, so I am telling you guys, this is a great deal, not to mention organic! :D Oh oh, and it also comes with free organic farm tour if you guys want so you can learn more about organic farming, black soldier flies and vermicomposting etc. At night, you can go star gazing while floating in the swimming pool and enjoy the peaceful gentle breeze. It’s really very serene here, something that the busy city can no longer provide. Or you can break the peace by singing your hearts out with their videoke! Hahaha. Eitherway, it is up to you on how you would like to spend your getaway but for sure, you’ll have blast. If you want something different, try Kahariam Farms!

A fun place to learn about organic farming. I support them in their advocacy of helping the environment through waste management by vermicast production.

Needs time to unwind? Go to Kahariam.

We arrived there around noon and the weather is so hot. Ate receptionist gave us the key agad and helped us with our rooms. We were expecting that it will look like ordinary rooms but no. They're very cozy and comfy rooms talaga at may heater at bidet pa! They have flatscreen TV, digibox, and WiFi (ang lakas ng signal, we forgot to ask kung sino provider nila).

Wala pang thirty mins, prepared na yung food namin. Super bait nila ate, at ang sarap ng food as in. Nasa activity area kami that time, may videoke na naka set up so we're singing while eating. Our lunch menu : rice, gising gising, sinigang, and fried fish (too bad I was not able to take some photos sa loob, gutom na ako eh)

The place is very clean, friendly people and peaceful environment. <3
