Makiling Onsen Hotel

The staff are very helpful and accommodating.
The rooms are clean. The resort pretty private even tho we visited on a weekend. Food there are tasteful. They're way tastier than most japanese restaurant in the area. The place is also easily accessible, whether via commute or private vehicle.

Very relaxing place, great ambiance and good food. There's even a piano you can play with a the lounge area-- and very comfortable chairs. Great for overnight stays, day tours, dine in or simply get pampered at their health and wellness clinic after soaking in a private onsen or hotspring bath house.

Now this is a place that my wife and I will be a regular customer of. The Onsen experience was nice. We tried their newly renovated Sakura room and it was clean and comfortable. Our skin was soft after the onsen experience. You would really feel relaxed. You just have to follow the guidelines inside to make the most of the experience.

We tried their food after:
Takoyaki - a bit doughy but still above average compared outside
Squid Bulgogi - delicious, matches perfectly with rice
Beef Yakiniku - delicious as well juicy and well marinated
Kimchi - on the spicy and salty side but still great as side dish
They gave us complimentary chips (kropek) while waiting which is a plus

We will surely be back to stay longer and try their therapy.

Onsen = Hot spring. This was my favorite part of the package. We added a whole body massage to complete the experience. The hot spring is small enough to make it a private experience. It is super clean so no worries. The attendants treat you with hospitality that is characteristic of our region, like long time friends.

Had a really wonderful stay here. Initially came for the onsen only but they had options for day tour (with ongoing promo too) so opted for that. The standard room was very clean and looks newly renovated. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay like a mini ref, welcome refreshments, towels, slippers, wifi, and more. It also came with free access to pools and onsen, and the best thing is the free snack + lunch/dinner for 2. The food was good too so this is a real steal! They had free parking also, but slots are limited. All staff were very helpful and nice too.

Onsen was amazing. It's private unlike the ones in Japan, which was actually nice. The place was clean and quite authentic, even had the shower sets and small chairs like in Japan. Plus usage comes with a yukata so you can have nice pictures and feel of the onsen. Temperature is just right and my skin felt really nice and smooth afterwards. I also tried their massage which was satisfying, they used their own herbal oils and they even offer discounts to check in guests.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my day trip to Makiling Onsen and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Be ready to face bad traffic going home on a weekend from 4pm-8pm since place is literally along the highway. But I'd say it's worth it 👌🏼

They give prompt response to my questions prior to arrival. When we arrived, the staff happily accommodated our requests and have proven themselves very hospitable hosts. While the place and rooms are a bit dated, they are very spacious and comfortable which was a pleasant surprise. The Japanese and Korean food in the restaurant and the included breakfast are delicious. The onsen was nice and relaxing and the clean swimming pool was all to ourselves and felt like we rented a private resort but it may just be because the place was not fully booked when we stayed. They also have a nice ktv bar with good acoustic and song selection. So many things to do in this resort. It was overall a great experience for an intimate occasion with family. Highly recommended for small groups of friends and family who want to have a fun and peaceful weekend getaway.

First time to stay at Makiling Onsen and i would give them a 5 star. For the service and the amenities. Very accommodating ng staff at nice ang room malinis.

Makiling Onsen Hotel, Laguna
A quiet and relaxing resort hotel which offers a traditional Japanese surrounding and atmosphere. Good place to just destress and enjoy a weekend or day off. The place itself just radiates with Japanese feel and it feels like you just took a trip to a onsen in Japan itself! The staff were very helpful and courteous, very easy to talk to, they even offered a summer yukata to use while staying here! The room we got was the superior family room with the private onsen, and it was immaculate. For its price, the place was very spacious and clean, it also has a dining area with tatami! The Onsen inside was very clean and it was decorated with signs on how to use the onsen properly and some warning signs as well. We ordered at the restaurant inside the hotel and their service was very fast. We did go to on a weekday but staff is 10/10. Azabu restaurant offers different kind of food, from filipino, western, korean, and of course, japanese! They serve in large portions and cheap so it's very worth it to order up in here. There are no convenience stores or small stores around the vicinity so it’s more favorable to order in the restaurant. You can order through the phone and have it delivered in your room, no extra charge! But eating inside the restaurant is better just for the yakiniku you can cook in there! The restaurant also has the atmosphere of a japanese restaurant. All in all, the place was clean, relaxing, it strongly exudes of japan, food was good, service was exeptional, 10/10 would definitely come back again!

This place has improved a lot since renovation. Their physical therapy services are a bang for the buck. Affordable yet high quality. A must try. The onsen is clean and newly renovated.
