I was really amazed of how they organized such public market with a huge numbers of vendors. From Dry to Wet goods... And most of ALL ...affordable... And in reasonable Prices. From Seafoods...poultry... Meats...veggies, etc...

COME and VISIT LA PAZ PUBLIC MARKET...and see it by your self. KODUS to the LGU and all Vendors.

If you want a taste of the legendary la paz batchoy where else could you find it? Definitely here. Deco’s, Ted's and Netong's all have a stall here and Madge Cafe too. A must visit if ever you are in iloilo.

If you want to try the original batchoy and find many other native products, visit this market. We tried the Batchoy at Netong's and we bought the local fruit Batuan/Batwan used as a flavoring (sour).

As of November 1 the La Paz Market is undergoing rehabilitation to improve the facilities of the market

A foodie pilgrimage site. This is where the famed La Paz Batchoy noodle soup was born before the war. Regardless of what restaurant got it first, it was here when the pork broth soup was brought to life.

After that steaming warm bowl of Batchoy, you can head on to Madge’s for some coffee. It is still in its traditional non-airconditioned store, yet movers and shakers of Iloilo meets here often-time.

So,price able market to serve and convenient people to service.

The famous local market in Iloilo. A typical Filipino market where you can see vendors selling fruits, fishes, meats etc. etc. But what makes them famous? The famous Netong's and Madge Cafe.

Dec 2022 update - the old market has been demolished and will be replaced with a new construction. Only the old gate has been kept. There are some temporary arrangements - stalls around the old site, also a few popular resturants still exist but in temporary settings.

I can't wait for La Paz market to finish renovations. This was my favorite wet market to visit in search of fresh veggies and seafoods!

Dream come true for me to eat where the batchoy was created.. currently under rennovation but the traffic cops are very visitor friendly and will gladly point out where the good places are!

Typical market. What makes it special is that you can find good food inside , ne tongs lapaz batchoy, madge cafe, Lapaz kitchenette. Try them all.

Lapaz market is a place where you can eat the original LAPAZ BATCHOY.

Hmmm great produce. A lottle bit expensive compared to terminal market in city proper but the dinuguan ingredients is a mile cleaner. Native chicken is always available and they dressed and clean it right before your eyes. Home of all the original batchoy and magde cafe. Now is under renovation they are planning to put up a 2nd floor for parking which is a great idea

I love Lapaz Market. You can find everything you need for your kitchen.

I always have a connection with this market as my grand parents live nearby. They always have fresh crabs everyday and itbis home to Netongs the original batchoy shop.

Lapaz Market is now under renovation and all stalls are temporarily transfered just outside the vicinity of the market,

People here are courteous, accomodating and informative. Especially helpful on where to find the best La Paz BATCHOY...

Local stuff. Wet and dry market. But what makes this special is, this is where you can find the most loved ilonggo noodle soup, the authentic la paz batchoy, kansi,linaga and soup no.5. Choose your favorite family resto of ted's, decos l, netong's and popoy's. I suggest, you try popoy's batchoy. :-)
