General Santos City Fish Port Complex

Awesome. Four markets. Fishermen coming from all over (Mati, etc.). Exporters buying tuna in bulk (about 60% are exported).

I was born and raised in Gensan but this is my first time to go inside the fish port complex and I was impressed! The roads inside are clean and wide. The workers are all wearing boots and uniforms that you will easily identify the company they work for. Everyone was friendly and willing to answer questions, have their photos taken or be on videos.

The hauling of tuna and other fish from the boats into the port is systematic like clock work. It's very clean, no flies, no rodents, no trash.

I would love to bring my visiting friends here! The store selling tuna products are also clean and attendants are very accommodating. I am so proud of this complex.

Wonderful experience and educational. As if I was transported in Tsukiji and no longer have to go there. Be sure to visit and enjoy the fun!!

Best time to visit is before 7am.
You may not be allowed to buy giant tuna fish directly but you may try coordinating through their dealers.

Dreamy City in the heart of Mindanao. Life is beautiful here and bountiful! Sun is up all day but nights are clear and bright. No smug and the stars twinkle at night. Tunas are huge and very fresh! The fish port is a must visit while in GenSan.

The fish port is clean, vibrant and modern, complying with the international standards. Complimenting its cleanliness are the white boots worn by people. While different kinds of fish and other sea creatures are being hauled off here, the real highlight is the large yellowfin tuna known locally as Bariles.

Very clean. Remember to wear pants and close shoes (no shorts/ slippers allowed in the area). People are very friendly. Early morning is the best time to visit the area.

Its my first time visiting the fish port in General Santos City. Im amazed of what i saw inside the port. It's very clean and organize. Need to wear boots inside the fish port and no wearing of shorts during visit.

Place for my baby tunas. They've got strict compliance (visited in 2018) in entering the port. Worth waking up early for. 😂

The centerpoint of the Tuna Capital of the Philippines. Market 1 is where Tuna and Tuna Variety is traded. Market 2 is where small variety of fish and aquatic resources are sold to local markets. Market 3 and 4 is for Canning factories.

You cannot enter without wearing boots and you can rent for Php20.00. Wearing skirts or shorts are not allowed. Fresh tuna panga are only available early in the morning.

Best place to buy fish for a cheapest price. Having a friendly personel to accomodate and help. Just dont wear slippers coz guards are strict at it.

The place was nice, clean and with guidelines on proper attire. The people working there were courteous and accommodating.
