La Ruta - Restaurante gourmet Pisac

The food here is maybe the best I have ever had. The view is world class. You have to try the alpaca and get a pisco sour!!!!

This is, without doubt, one of the best places we've eaten in Perú!! We had the trout ceviche, alpaca steak (would highly recommend!!) and a delicious chocolate tart for desert. Everything was so tasty, with a fantastic view overlooking the main square. Highly recommended!

Wow, we were absolutely blown away by this seemingly hole in the wall restaurant. You actually have to walk through a tiny shop and up a flight of stairs to find it, thought I promise you, the journey is worth it.

The atmosphere alone is cozy, cute, and welcoming. The service was amazing. When we ordered our food, I was about to order one of the vegetarian options, when our waitress stopped me. She said, if you’re vegetarian, I have a special something I’ll bring you that’s not on the menu, but it is very delicious.

WOW was she right. Whatever she brought me, was out of this world amazing. Loaded with vegetables and deliciously sautéed mushrooms (they tasted like steak to me!), and quinoa. Mmmmm. My boyfriend got one of the alpaca dishes. We also tried the Pisac sours and the creamy vegetable soup.

While this place is a little pricier than the local joints we usually eat at, it was a wonderful treat after a long day of traveling. I recommend that you at least have one meal in Pisac at this amazing spot, though I must warn you, after one meal you’ll likely be tempted to have them all here! 😋

This place is an absolute gem! Renee the owner pays such attention to detail. The flavors are incredible.
He recommended the rosemary chicken and it absolutely did not disappoint. I did my best to slow down the eating because I didn’t want the meal to end.

What an amazing find in Pisac. This restaurant offers elevated cuisine in the most relaxed atmosphere, right on the plaza. The mushroom appetizer is to die for and I loved the lamb. The service was outstanding... I'd definitely come back if we weren't leaving tomorrow.

We been to La Ruta - several times and everything was just great. Of you end up.there - don't forget about amazing dessert -chocolate cake with ice cream on the end. It's unforgettable!

I've walked around Pisaq looking for the best dining experience and ambiance. I ended up finding not only the best dining experience with the best ambiance, but the best alpaca steak with the best prices. It was only 40 sol for the best steak I'd ever had, up there with wagyu. The chef adds the perfect amount of herbs so that when the steak is melting on your pallette, it blends the the flavors with the herbs and steak. I ate here every night of my stay.

Strangely, the mushroom dish is super good. Tastes like steak - don't know how they do it. The Rosemary chicken is also tender and delicious. The Pisco Sour is also on point. Based on the other reviews, I have a lot more to try in a short period of time!

We walked down the Pisaq ruins and were very hungry, and decided to try La Ruta. Great choice. We were 5 people with different needs and preferences (child and a person with a bit of altitude trouble included), and we all felt satisfied and refreshed after the late lunch. Lots of choices, healthy food and some classics. Nice service.

Amazing food to choose from and they cater to whatever your dietary needs are. This is better service than most 5 star restaurants. We found out that the Chef had previously been a chef at a 5 star restaurant. Seriously the best honey hole in Pisaq.

*** Also ask for the non-alcoholic fruit drink "chichamorada"*** - The woman there is claimed to make the best in town!

Great food. Tried their Guinea pig and alpaca. Alpaca tasted like a really good steak. Try their chichas. It’s a drink made with apples, pineapples, sugar cane and purple corn.

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The service is amazing, friendly and fast. Ceviche and mushroom appetizers were to die for. All the entrees; trout, cuy, lomo saltado, and ají chicken were incredible. If you’re in pisaq you have to come here.

This is a must visit if you’re in Pisac. We traveled through Peru for 10 days, and this small family run restaurant had the best pisco sour, best quinoa soup, and best Aji de Gallina we tried throughout the entire country. Highly, highly recommend!

The family is so kind and the food is always delicious! Save some room for one of their amazing deserts and a cappuccino! This is my go to recommendation to anyone that is visiting Pisac!

Me and my husband live in Pisac and we feel so amazingly blessed to have this gem of a restaurant in our tiny town. We go here almost every week. Lomo saltado is exceptional. The mushroom appetizer to die for. They have THE BEST chocolate ice-cream that they make themselves. The flavors, the size of portions, the presentation. And the people that run the place… exceptional. such a rich experience. Any dish u pick u cannot go wrong.

This is absolutely the highest quality food in Pisac bar none! We kept coming back for that delicious Rosemary Chicken again and again, same goes for the spicy trout ceviche!! The service is lovely, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and have I mentioned the food? Oh and they also have very nice wine options.
This spot is a must visit if you pass through the sacred valley, do not miss it!!

La Ruta Del Sabor is one of the best places I’ve ever been. Food is just beyond delicious, all drinks are great, everything is high quality, staff is amazing and the location is just perfect! This is a Premium Restaurant and the place to go while in Pisac. Gracias! 🙏

Wow, I was blown away. I’ve had a lot of good food in Peru, but this was the best. Vegetarian/vegan friendly, very fresh ingredients. I had a hard time finding light, refreshing meals, but my meal at La Ruta was filling, delicious, and very light. Could not recommend more!

The best restaurant I have experienced in Peru! Quality produce, cooked perfectly at a very reasonable price. I’ve been in Pisac for 2 weeks, and I’ve come here everyday. Highly recommend.
