Condors, Macaus free to fly around cage free. So we'll taken care of birds that are cared for and again let into wild. Never seen anything like this. It took about 30mins to cover since we were in a hurry but covered all the pieces. It is 25 soles per foreign adult. No need to buy tickets in advance. It doesn't look great from outside but an English speaking guide takes u around and explains each exhibit. The condor exhibit was the best. Never can u get so close to and see them. It is not very crowded and totally worth the visit. We were not even animal buffs but were totally in awe. Enjoy the pictures and videos.

A great experience. It was truly breathtaking to see the Andean condors fly up close. I went with my wife and 18 month old. They both had a blast. The only main thing I would note is that it is not fully stroller accessible. I would have left the stroller in the car.

This place is really nice, excellent place to enjoy 2 hours visiting rescued animals and how they help them to get well and return them to their natural habitat if possible.

Cheap, clean and 100% recommended to visit and do something different out of Cusco.

You can see Bears, Monkys, Llamas, Vicunas, Condors (flying), papagallos, Birds, Leopardo and more.

This place deserves more publicity.

It's not a zoo. They keep these injured animals with an aim to release them back into the wild. The Condors were really majestic. They have around 11 and considering there are only around 150 left in the wild in Peru. They also have vicunas and the Andean Bear. I was also lucky to see a military macaw and a toucan ( rescued from a pet/ animal activity centre). For the animals they are planning to release on the wild, they keep them secluded which is a great idea. They also had the Andean bob cats. Overall small place, but if you love wildlife and interested in wildlife conservation, you should pay them a visit. This is very close to Pisaq/ Cusco and you need to keep 30 mins for this activity.

The most beautiful and heartwarming experience we have had in Peru. Really. Our guide was absolutely amazing, knowledgeable having perfect English.

Great experience! Nice way to get up close to some local wildlife. Spectacled bear, puma, coati, condor, parrots, monkeys and more.

This is a special place that I had the luck to visit. The work that they do is serious, and you know that seeing the animals and listening to the guide that presents the place. When you pay the entrance, a guide show you the animals. Do not do the visit without the guide, or you won´t understand. I got there by bus from Pisac to Cusco, and I got off in the middle of the way. It was easy to find. Then, to leave, I went to the same road and took a bus to Cusco. Very easy and cheap.

Really amazing place that cares for animals that need help. Entry was 25 Sol per person but well worth it and especially for a good cause!

There are so many different types of animals that you can get up and close to in some of the enclosures. I suggest bringing a guide to explain how the animals got there and where they can be found. It makes it much more interesting!

Lots of animals to see, and you can get close to lots of them. The condors flying around are quite amazing.

An amazing project - definitely worth visiting.
You can take local “collectivo” buses to get there for 5 soles.
You’ll get to see condors and bears from up close. The rest of the animals get progressively released back into nature.

Beautiful home for animals who have been injured, saved from trafficking, or kept illegally as pets. The workers have so much care and knowledge about each individual animal, and they work hard to ensure that the animals have stimulation and healthy lifestyles. There are opportunities for volunteering and for donating to a good cause. A great trip for families or group tours to learn about the native species of the Andes!

They do important work- you can volunteer of just visit there (which I highly recommend 👌).
If you do decide to come and volunteer (requires a 75 sols donation) talk with Albert he is the best! - +51 931 236 783

Great experience.

I was shown around by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable young lady. She explained what the sanctuary was doing, where the animals came from and how the ones suitable for releasing in the wild are chosen.

This is a great opportunity to get very close to condors. Unfortunately feeding time is after the public has left.

It’s great that they save all these beautiful animals! The condor flying show is really cool, and it’s also just cool seeing all the varieties of amazing animals. The parrots also say “hola” :) And the spectacled bears are adorable! My favorite experience was getting to feed and be up close with llamas and alpacas! Also, there was a knowledgeable (English-speaking) guide to give our family a tour.

I have visited Cochahuasi Sanctuary on a few occasions pre pandemic. I am also fascinated with raptors too! Great staff, and one of the very few places to experience the magnificent Andean Condor up close. This little sanctuary relies on donations, and your visits. Make it a must to visit if you are staying in Cusco.

A wonderful place for both animals and humans! Tucked into the mountainside, this special rescue sanctuary is doing a lot of hard and heartfelt work to save and rehabilitate its residents. The interactive llama and alpaca feeding would have been enough to make our visit worth it, but the other animal experiences were icing on the cake! Our guide, Albert, was extremely knowledgeable and patient in showing and explaining everything about all of the animals and their personal stories. Please make it a point to visit this sweet place if you are visiting in Cusco, especially if you have children. Education is the key that unlocks change*

Visited the Cochahuasi Animal Sanctuary and really liked it. There is a place behind the shop where you can feed the lamas and alpacas. They have a nice and large shop selling good quality clothing products, but also purses, jewellery, statues etc. Recommended place to visit.

Found the place on google and decided to give it a try. We took a cab to the sanctuary, asked the driver to wait for us and take us back(70 soles back and forth). The Sanctuary is a little magical place where you’ll see rescued animals being loved and taken care of by this big hearted people. We had a guide that showed us all the stables, presented the animals and told us their history. The money from the entrance,20 or 30 soles are directly used for feeding the animals. Absolutely recommended!

It's an amazing place! The rescued animals are rehabilitaded and those that have that right conditions are released.

It's a place to learn and get in touch with peruvian fauna in an ethical and respectful manner. There you'll be able to see condors flying, all tipes of macaws, pumas, bears and monkeys. They also have alpacas and llamas to interact with visitors.

Recommend the visit and support the cause!
