This was one of the highlights of our entire South America trip! This place is a MUST! The staff are some of the most friendly and generous people. The accommodation is simple yet beautiful. We had a hot tub which was fantastic. The llamas are hilarious and also very friendly animals on the property. The food is also 10/10! Would recommended everything about this place!

We loved this hotel. We got there early before check in—while we waited they gave us corn husks to feed the llamas. The llamas were very friendly and hungry. From there the stay was fantastic. From the food, to the service, to the views.

I would recommend only staying in the cabana with a hot tub. Due to availability we had to stay in a cabana without a hot tub one night. Those cabanas are smaller and less private.

Otherwise no complaints. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. The views are breathtaking and a highlight of our trip to Peru.

This excursion was the highlight of our trip. We scheduled a picnic and the transportation picked us up at our place in Cusco and then brought us back. Oscar attended us with excellent service , helping us through the picnic taking excellent photos and helping us feed the llamas and alpacas. Was so funny feeding them. The experience ended with us being kids trying to paint our experience for memories to keep and having some awesome drinks and coffee. Oscar was the best host and the bartenders were on point with the drinks! 12/10!

This place is amazing. Very beautiful nature and landscape, around alpacas and lamas, cosy evening with bonfire, tasty breakfast. Enjoyed every moment 😊

This place is truly magical and one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. Rooms were very clean and lots of blankets to keep you warm at night. I recommend doing the horseback riding right before sunset as the colours were absolutely stunning. Our guide took his time with us and took amazing pictures and videos during the ride. Staff were very helpful and kind during our stay and even brought us coca tea and altitude sickness pills which were very much appreciated as my girlfriend was ill during the first night.

Mountain View was on my bucket list for a couple of months, and I can honestly tell you that I was not disappointed! We kind of planed our Perú-Bolivia trip around coming here so expectations were high.
When I started booking our stay I was greeted with pure professionalism and throughout making all the arrangements it remained that way.
1.5 h after being picked up from Cusco we finally arrived to our dream place and yes, it was a dream. Huge land, with only couple of cozy huts, llamas, alpacas, donkeys just slowly passing around, serene and calming space (especially after busy Cusco you can feel the difference!).
Ivan, who welcomed us in Mountain View, is a very engaged and caring employee and here I would like to send a wholehearted thank you to all the staff of MV!
We got a cabin with hot tub and it was just the right size for the two of us. The bathroom was comfortable, with big shower and all the necessities. Upon request they light up a fire in the fireplace inside the cabin and fire pit outside. But it’s the hot tub that is the star of the show! You can soak in a warm water, watch the animals just walking around and enjoy the sun.
The breakfast was also fine, fresh fruit, some eggs, bread and sweets. We are vegetarians so instead of bacon we had some tasty avocado on our plates. You can also choose which freshly squeezed juice you want.
What was a big surprise for us was the restaurant. You wouldn’t have expected such a spectacular dishes from the restaurant it the middle of nowhere. But let me tell you, everything that we tried was simply delicious. And creative as well, with attention to details and using local ingredients.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we were very sad when we had to leave. Being in such a place, close to animals and still eating great food is what I call a perfect vacation.
Will definitely come back! 🦙

Such an amazing day for our family! We did the picnic and painting with our 2 kids, ages 8 and 10. The highlight was definitely the alpacas. It may be the highlight of the trip for our kids! Lunch was delicious and a lot of food. The staff was friendly and helped my kids feed the alpacas. Beautiful views too!

Our stay at Mountain View in Cusco was a remarkable retreat after our adventures in the city. From the moment we entered our room and gazed upon the awe-inspiring Andes mountain range and sitting under a dome of stars in the night, we felt like we were in a world of our own, far removed from the usual hustle and bustle.

The tranquility and serenity of this place were nothing short of breathtaking. It was an escape from reality that we had longed for. The food, the ambiance, and the hospitality of the staff were all nothing short of perfection, earning a solid 10/10 rating.

A special mention goes out to the incredibly talented chef, Raul Condori, whose Lomo saltado left us craving for more. If you decide to dine at the restaurant, don't miss his culinary masterpiece.

Waking up to witness the sunrise through our lodge's windows was a magical experience. During breakfast, we had the delightful opportunity to interact with well-behaved llamas. While it's advisable not to touch them due to their skittish nature, feeding them and capturing photos with the Andean Glaciers as your backdrop added to the overall charm of the place.

One minor drawback was that our room felt a bit cramped for three people, making it challenging to move around comfortably. However, this small inconvenience was outweighed by the abundance of cozy blankets provided to keep us warm on cooler nights.

In conclusion, Mountain View in Cusco is a hidden gem for those seeking an escape from the ordinary. It offers a unique blend of natural beauty, exceptional cuisine, and a peaceful atmosphere. Despite the minor room size issue, our stay was unforgettable, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers looking for an extraordinary experience.

Wow!! Let me be up front; I honestly lack the vocabulary to adequately describe how absolutely amazing this place is. Where to start ? From the warm and friendly reception, where we spoke with one of the co-owners who shared her business story with us. This was her grandfathers land and she’s found a way to keep it preserved and share its wealth of beauty with others. The cabins are cozy and all around perfect, with views that will deeply move you inside. The restaurant and bar serve gourmet dishes and drinks - each a true work of art. There are free roaming llamas and animals you can feed while enjoying the clean air and picturesque surroundings. Also offered are horse riding, ATV riding (for a cost) and free bikes to ride down the hill to see the salt mines. I simply CANNOT recommend this place enough. My humble review only scratches the surface of the magic that is contained in this establishment.

We had the most amazing experience at Mountain View. The cabins were beautiful, the views were spectacular and the staff were so friendly and willing to help with anything! There were llamas and many other animals around which we could feed and pat! We also booked a few tours such as the ATV tour and horse riding, both were fantastic ☺

One of the best locations around the valley to relax and enjoy a day or more. A romantic spot on the way to Maras salt mines with many activities to spend your time such as amazing food, horse riding, ATV, hot tab and more.
I almost forgot the spactacular view to the valley. Must go💓💓💓

We had an amazing two night visit! What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff and owners, who were gracious, welcoming and accommodating. Gabo and Marybelle were always there with suggestions and a smile, and genuinely loved working there.

The llamas, horses and donkeys on the property were delightful... and feeding them by hand a highlight. Sharing a bottle of wine in the jacuzzi, with a view of the Andes, followed by a campfire, was romantic. We enjoyed a visit to the Maras salt flats, and to the Moray archeological site.

But by far the best reason to visit was the food. Easily the best presented good we've had in Peru, at very reasonable prices. Great flavor combinations, carefully prepared. We'll be back just to eat in the restaurant again. Thank you to everyone at Mountainview Experience for an unforgettable stay!

We stopped in for lunch, which was amazing. Everything we got we absolutely loved. Best of all was the llamas that they let into the courtyard. The kids loved it!

I totally recommend this experience. It is a hotel with several tent-like bungalows, which a wonderful view to the Andes. At night you can enjoy a clean and clear nigh sky, see falling stars and the milky way with your naked eye.

The employees are helpful, joyful and polite. They have their own restaurant, which serves tasty and traditional food. Breakfast is good.

They also offer several activities, like horse-riding and quad bike tours.

First of all, there was Lucy, who was taking care of the reservation and who was amazing since the initial contact in August and who displayed flexibility, punctuality, professionalism and assistance throughout the whole reservation process.

We also had amazing experience at the Mountain View cabins and we really loved every part of our very short stay there.
Maria and Gabriel are true representatives of what hospitality should be like, genuine, kind, professional, respectful and attentive to all our queries.

Gentleman taking care of the horses (Rot if I remembered his name correctly) and helping us with the horseback ride was also very helpful and took plenty of pictures of us during the ride.

Beautiful people, amazing location, the view from the cabin, llamas, food….everything was just great and all in all, it was a real pleasure and one of a kind experience.
