Laguna Chinchac

This Laguna is beautiful. We even saw some locals taking out the potatoe bags they store in the water. They were happy to explain why they did this and what they were doing. :) They also had an adorable dog with them who played nicely with our dog. It's probably a 2 hr hike from the main town beneath this, but we drove up in our car. Be careful, 4 wheel drive isn't necessary, but it would help! We drove up in a toyota sedan. The view is amazing and it should be seen by more people.

Gorgeous place. Very hard to drive up the dirt road, so get a local guide if you can. You can also hike up the road, it's incredibly scenic.
If you come by car, you pay about 30 soles (negotiable) to the ladies at Asociation Hormigitas and they'll unlock the chain for you.
