A wonderfull space for sightseeing

The festival is celebrated every September 14, characterized by a massive pilgrimage of devotees from Cusco, Peru and even from different places such as Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile, they go to the Sanctuary of Huanca to receive blessings.

It dawns in the sanctuary and the light finds hundreds of pilgrims kneeling in the heat of candles, always holding an image, a prayer, their faith. There is the stone painted with the motive of so much veneration: a Christ overwhelmed by the lashes, the Lord of Huanca.

PILGRIMAGE TO THE SANCTUARY
The sanctuary of the Lord of Huanca is located 48 km from the city of Cusco at 3,100 m.s.n.m. in the district of San Salvador, province of Calca in the department of Cusco.

To get to this sacred place, some do it by car, many on foot. The most devout come walking from the Imperial City, which takes between four and six hours. For this reason, and for the number of faithful who have in Peru, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia and Chile, the pilgrimage to the Lord of Huanca is one of the most significant in the country and, also, one of the most awaited.

From Cusco, it takes 4 to 6 hours of walking to reach "El Señor de Huanca" and 45 minutes to 1 hour by car.

El paisaje, si haces la peregrinación, es muy bonito. El santuario, es acogedor y limpio. Si vas en fechas festivas, el lugar está muy lleno.

Increíble santuario hermoso por dentro y sus alrededores, ya que puedes deleitar de un hermoso paisaje, un hermoso bosque de eucaliptos y sobre todo hacerlos junto a tus seres queridos con quienes podrás disfrutar este hermosos y bello santuario♥♥♥♥♥♥

Hermoso lugar para peregrinar y visitar.

No pagas entrada, hay misa cada hora, tiene terrazas que miran a todo el valle.

Excelente vista y paisaje, ir a partir de las 10am.

Muy buen lugar para ir a pasear. si eres devoto del señor también.
El día del señor de Huanca se llena bastante así que preveer si vas en carro propio ya que el estacionamiento se llena. subir a pie es una buena experiencia para los más pequeños

Un santuario hermoso ,vine trayendo los encargos de mi madre,hija y sobrinas.Adjunte las mías me declaro devota,pude participar de la misa el padre muy carismático ,agradezco sus palabras,nos pide no pedir solo por nosotros si no por todos los que están sufriendo y necesitando muchas cosas en el mundo entero y tiene razón!!!
Psdt: piden venir solos no necesitas un tour o agencias ayudemos al turista no todo es lucrar bello,ordenado ,acogible Cuzco❤🇵🇪
